I love this store. I have always loved this store.

When I was a wee little witchling, this was the first metaphysical store I went to. I would come here for everything; books, crystals, incense, resin, oils, idols, and inspiration. I'm very pleased to say it remains true to its original purpose 30 years later.

The best part of this store is the people behind the counter. Today I had the privilege of discussing my needs with Lizzie and Kaya. Their understanding and knowledge lifts this store above and beyond other similar retailers around Victoria. I am always confident that their information is accurate and when they don't know the answer, rather than make something up they actually say they don't know. That's incredibly rare these days, especially when paired with the potential of a sale.

As long as this store stands, it will be my go-to for advice and products.

I love Back to Basics. The atmosphere of this well-stocked store is incredible - warm, welcoming and friendly. All the staff are friendly and professional, but Jaz makes you feel like a friend she has know for year - she really is the heart of the store!

I had this shampoo for a long time and it is nice they also have 5L hand crafted shampoo and conditioner.

A true hidden gem, there is something for everyone! The store may seem unassuming from the street front, but you'll be surprised once you step inside. They have never ending rooms of crystals, books, oracle hards, decorations, ornaments and jewellery etc. A great place to shop for yourself and others! I've been visiting this store for many years and I keep coming back for their crystals. The staff are knowledgeable and are always willing the help. I find that Back to Basics' range of crystals is unrivalled in terms of of quality and pricing! If you're wanting to add to your crystal collection, make sure you go upstairs, I could honestly spend all day there!

My favourite shop for tarot/oracle decks & candles! Staff are friendly and so much to see in the store, can easily spend hours in there.

Unbelievably wide variety of tarot cards, crystals, figurines, books, and so much more! Amazing prices, if you're looking for affordable but gorgeous crystals, Back to Basics is absolutely unmatched for their prices and their variety of crystals, with a giant room upstairs dedicated to crystals at excellent prices. There is no store that quite matches the peaceful, homey and accepting vibe that this store has created through their lovely and kind staff, calming environment, and beautiful and well priced items. Cannot recommend it high enough for anyone who loves crystals, tarot, and anything spiritual!!

This store has everything you need for fantastic gifts the are out of the normal. Lots of great books and art, as well as jewellery at reasonableness prices.

I've been going to this shop since I was in high school! Their product range is so wide and they have something for everyone. Their jewellery cabinets are overflowing with beautiful pieces and there is something for everyone. Their staff are always friendly and happy to help with anything you're searching for. The only thing I could suggest is that it would be awesome to see a bigger crystal range. However, this is still my go to store for books, incense and candles!

Absolutely amazing store, has all you can need and more. Make sure to put aside a minimum of an hour for browsing everything. Staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and honest in sharing their knowledge on everything in stock. Great for all your witchcraft needs and even better for picking up a gift or two.

This store is more than it seems, there is so much to see there from gifts and trinkets, so jewellery for those on their spiritual journey, tarot cards, Oracle cards, incense, essential oils, statues for deities, books and books, I've already been there twice since finding it and bought 5 books with so many more on my wish list.

I've had genuine healing experiences just browsing here with the people I love.. an environment to explore and discover new things and to open up to each other.
The gorgeous staff members are connective, 'at home' and welcoming and dare I say a little bit cheeky while they listen and do their best to help you.
Back to Basics is also the most amazing smelling place I have ever been.

Love this place. Huge range of metaphysical books (and other products dvds, jewellery, insence etc. etc.). But I mostly go there for the books. Lovely staff - friendly, kind and so helpful. Lovely peaceful, atmosphere - I always feel like the stress washes off me when I walk through the door and this is a shop not a yoga studio or temple!
