Historical landmarks are, of course, ubiquitous between the eastern slopes of the majestic Mt Alexander all the way over to the Sutton Grange Hall (just think about the breathtaking phenomenon of the rock on top of another rock on Grey's road). But Clovertly, or Clovelly as it is lovingly referred to by the locals, is certainly the most magnificent. Transformed over the last three decades under the stewardship of 'artist in residence' Lozza, and her loyal groundsman Chritsöff, Clovertly has maintained the charm of the thousand year old homestead, while upgrading the overall aesthetics of the estate with a breathtaking orchard and a spattering of mind expanding art installations. Clovertly is not only an opulent paradise, but also somewhat of a nature reserve. One must only glance at any fruit tree to glance the native Cockatoos plundering away. Or perhaps one of the many local, and mortally venomous snakes (Tigers and Kingies) will greet you from under a rock - look, but do not touch as they do bite. Further from the ranch a lucky visitor may lay eyes on some of Tones' wooly things gracing the pastures, or a herd of kangaroos trouncing a fence line.
Overall, Clovertly offers something for everyone. The staff are respectful and subservient and the fridge is usually really well stocked. Highly recommend visiting, though be prepared to work for your stay - just like the old timers did when they layed the first granite boulder all those years ago.
