I went here with a few friends. I thought it was very good. Kebabs all round for the lads, and we left full. At just over $70 for 3 people, the price was great value, too.

We all had different kebabs. I had the yoghurt mix, my brother had chicken, and my friend had lamb. Not a crumb was wasted.

The staff were friendly, but busy. This was a Tuesday night, so I can't imagine how popular this place is at weekends. The decor is old-fashioned. 1990s to the max. Enjoy the food and the ambience.

The sweets are impressive, too. There's a huge oven where everything is baked.

For mix grill, and kebab, one of the most tastiest dishes you can have with authentic Turkish flavored. They do rice in a middle eastern way and it is so good. Moreover, you feel like you are in different time zone when you dine inside the restaurant. It is Halal too!

Excellent service, people of respect, highly receptive to customer values. Had a mistake in my order, offered to take it back and make a new one.

Would highly recommend to customers.

Magnificent food, a huge selection to choose from, and very reasonably priced. 3 males ate like Kings, $104.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Turkish restaurant. The decision not to dine elsewhere was absolutely justified; the food surpassed our expectations. Every dish was not only delicious but also generously portioned, ensuring a satisfying meal.

The bread was so fresh and awesone. The dips served together with the bread was fantastic. Mixed grill was fabulous. A must visit when in Melbourne.

We had a set menu which was beautiful and reasonably priced. The baklava was delicious. The rice was so tasty. The garden salad was divine - no dressing or onion. The pita bread was beautiful. The meat platter was tasty.

Alasya Restaurant is a must-try Turkish Restaurant on Sydney Road in Brunswick! We had an absolute feast when we were there and enjoyed all the tasty food we ordered.

Our order:
🥘 Spicy Platter, which consists of:
🥖 Unlimited Turkish bread
🥗 Garden Salad - Dolma - Pilaki - Cacik - Babaganush - Hot & Spiy Dip - Bamya
🥩 Chili Rump Strips - Chilli Chicken Strips | Chicken & Lamb Kofte | Sis Kebab
☕ Turkish Coffee and Dessert

The starters were all amazing and really helped set the tone for what about to come. The dips were delicious...the hot & spicy dip was our favourite dip and paired with that unlimited Turkish bread, it's just divine. Dolma & Pilaki are must try too.

The meat selections were also very tasty and delicious and we can't go past that Chilli Rump Strips and Sis Kebab - spicy, salty, full of flavour, and the meat was also very tender, absolute bomb!
And both Turkish Tea & Coffee plus selection of dessert (they gave us 2 baklavas and 1 coconut biscuit) to close off was also heavenly!

Overall, we enjoy eating at this restaurant and can recommend to anyone look for something new to try or explore. The price seems very reasonable too and the service is not bad at all. Definitely going back for some more to try the kebab as we hear some good reviews too.

We enjoy eating at this place. The food is simple, delicious and affordable. A dinner for two with generous plates and Turkish delicatessen desert will go for $45. The experience is very authentic, like a big turkish bakery that serves hot food — a kind of place very usual in Turkey. The service is outstanding, competent and courteous. Definitely a place to try at Sydney road.

Great value and great food. Meat was so tasty and full of flavour. We ordered one of the banquets for two people and had heaps of food left over to take home. Had the next day and was delicious! Would definitely come back again. Service was good too.

Went on a Saturday night and had a great experience! Affordable, family run venue and lovely service. Kebab meat, home made dips (beetroot dip was a stand out!) and unlimited warm and crispy Turkish bread… what’s not to love??

Delicious and very filling. It took a bit if time but it was soooo worth the wait. The lovely waitress was also very nice and helpful when we couldn't finish our meal.

The value for money is extraordinary. We managed to feed eight hungry people for under $300 with a smorgasbord of 1-2 mains each, dips and endless bread. The food arrived quickly and piping hot. The wait staff were friendly. I got the mixed sis kebab, which was simple in flavour. The highlight was the traditional (meat) dolma, which was slightly oily but delicious and fragrant. You also get 2 for $4, so I ordered more. There are plenty of vegetarian options as well (the menu is extensive). The baklava is excellent; light and sweet, but not sickly so. Worth a stop along this busy street. It is BYO.

One of Melbourne’s best and most consistent cheap eats place - that is why it is always packed on the weekends. Family friendly and affordable. My favourite are the pide, the carrot dip and lamb from the spit. My partner loves the mixed grill.
Service is perfunctory but that somehow fits with this place. It’s not trying to be anything else but itself.

We got the banquet, it was heaps of food so we took a lot of it home. So comforting and generous. Loved the beans.

The dips were delicious! The moussaka was tasty but a bit too oily for my liking. The Turkish coffee was also very good. Staff was polite and efficient.

The food is worth the $$
The portions are huge and you’ll definitely have leftovers for the next day
The $2 unlimited bread is also an absolute bargain

Honestly one of the best iskender that i’ve had in Melbourne. Gözleme was also delicious and the bean salad tastes just like the family recipe. Will definitely be back. Also it’s BYO which isn’t advertised anywhere! Hidden bonus
