Another successful Jonker. I like the fish dish, tofu and pork belly dishes, see photos below.
15% Sunday surcharge is a bit excessive though

The variety of dishes we tried has left us impressed and craving for more. The Lobak, a traditional Malaysian dish, was a fantastic starter that set the tone for the rest of our meal. However, the real 🌟 of the show were the Oriental Pork Chops and Vegemite Pork Chops. The Golden pork chops, perfectly cooked and tossed in a delightful mix of curry leaves, butter, and spices, had us giving double thumbs up! The Vegemite Pork Chops were a unique surprise, with the pan-fried marinated pork chops drenched in their homemade Vegemite sauce, creating a burst of flavour that we absolutely loved.🫶🏻

The 🍋 Chicken was tangy and flavorful, while the Butter Prawns were super tasty. The deep-fried prawns were coated with a buttery egg floss (dry crunch- not oily, super skillful chef!), and the curry leaves and 🌶 added a wonderful kick to the dish. It was a triple thumbs up from all of us for the Butter Prawns!

Another standout was the Choy Heong Homemade Bean Curd - a true winner! The fried bean curd, combined with stir-fried preserved radish and minced meat, was an explosion of taste that earned a resounding 💯 from my kids!

Overall, our experience at @jonkerstreet_au was nothing short of excellent. The flavours, quality, and authenticity of their dishes truly transport you to the heart of Malaysia. Each dish received enthusiastic approval from our family, and we can't wait to return for more mouthwatering comfort food. If you're a fan of Malaysian cuisine or seeking a new and delightful dining experience, this place is highly recommended! 👏👏

I like the dishes at this restaurant. The yam ring with kung pao chicken is a personal favourite. The assortment of fried fish dishes are all quite tasty. I recommend the butter prawns as well. Top off your meal with ice kacang for the win.

We had a fantastic dining experience at this Malaysian restaurant! The food was incredibly delicious, and the curry fish was a standout with its rich and flavorful taste. We also ordered the kamheong lala, Thai chicken and lotus vege. Every dish left us impressed with their authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. The service was friendly. I will definitely be coming back again for more delicious meals!

Great place for family gatherings. They have a lovely variety of dishes to share. I recommend trying their Yam Ring w/ Chicken and Cashews dish. It was delicious. Their Deep Fried Whole Barrundi and Sizzling Homemade Bean Curd dishes were also pleasant. They have small range of classic Malaysian desserts available as well (e.g. Cendol, Ice Kacang).

Fabulous and loveable food ever in Melbourne. We ordered the cny banquet menu on new year eve, when it's came the portion is big. We love the atmosphere in the restaurant where everyone happy and talk very loud. Definitely will come back again for another dishes.

A great place to eat authentic Malaysian food! My daughter who is really fussy about food kept asking for more when we had our dinner here (you gotta try the sizzling tofu).

Service is great and the staffs are really friendly. The owners are really friendly and you can see them working together with other staffs on the floor, something I find rare.

You have the option of ordering dishes to share or for each individual, both with a variety of choices. A must try for any Malaysian food lovers.

So much food and they are all so tasty. We had Kam heong Prawns , Marmite ribs, Nyonya fish curry and Tofu with mince. If going in a large group the Nyonya fish curry is a good value so much sauce for all to mop it up. They only take phone reservations for bookings for over 6 people , so the smaller crowds will have to wait for a slot , our wait was only about 10 mins , so that’s pretty ok. We will return.

Nice flavours and the whole place truly smell of Malaysian food! Very busy and mostly great experience. My only suggestion is for that dude at the counter with Ace Ventura mullet - smile a bit la. 😁

Things to try include their lobak, yam ring and ice kacang, bubur cacar, all good!

Delicious range of Malaysian dishes, so authentic in taste, you can mistake being in Jonker St, Malacca in Malaysia! Beautiful presentation, fast service and large portion for the cost. Traditional drinks such as teh tarik and Bandung on the menu - a long lusted for drink that reminds me of my second home (Malaysia). Lots of seating, clean restaurant, nice decor and fast and friendly wait service. Toilets available, and popular restaurant. A definite gem in the heart of the Pines, a totally satisfying meal with taste to perfection.

My go to place for authentic Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Chinese Food. Fish Curry, Yam Pots and 4 Seasons Veges are the standout dishes. Also you can satisfy your Ice Kacang cravings here. KL Hokkien Mee is also decent.

Good place to have an authentic Chinese Malaysian food. They serve very good fish head vermicelli, must try. The dinner menu is very attractive, must try the yam ring combination. The owner is very humble and polite. Thia is the second restaurant. Good work!
