Custom Cake - Alannah (owner) was fantastic to deal with when organising a custom cake for my son's 21st birthday. She was professional, efficient, reasonable cost, cake tastings to get the perfect cake and the cake itself was nothing short of incredible. Her timely correspondence made the whole process very easy and stress free. The brief was followed to the letter and the cake was incredible and tasted amazing. So many compliments on the night from guests. Highly recommended for any custom cakes!

This place is a true community gem, a meeting place that shows genuine hospitality and does a lot more than serve up good food and coffee. Each visit here I have been impressed by the thoughtfulness and care of those working here for the customers. With a small, but thoughtful menu and very fair prices, this is just a truly lovely establishment to visit.

We ordered a two-tiered cake for my parents' 50th anniversary party and they absolutely delivered. The whole process from design to ordering to delivery was absolutely professional and friendly. The cake was not only beautiful but yummy as well. Highly recommend!!!

My grandson celebrated his first birthday at Heidi Kitchen on Saturday, November 12th.

You can imagine all of the planning, especially looking for the right cake artist to design and bake a stunning and delicious birthday cake.

After much searching, I came across Alannah, the lovely young owner of Kat's Cakes.

The beautiful cake she designed, which exceeded all of my expectations, can only be described as "exceptional." We didn't want to cut into the moist chocolate raspberry sponge layered with white chocolate ganache because the blue-themed cake with two teddy bears, yellow hearts, and tiny flags was done with such professionalism and expertise, but we did, and it was totally superb. A flawless ten out of ten. The venue was so impressed that they asked for Alannah's details so they could refer her services to other parties.
I certainly will be returning for other special occasions. For me, Kat's Cakes is the only option.

Our wedding cake was absolutely amazing. Kat did an incredible job and was so friendly to delay with. 4 different wedding dates due to covid meant the design changed quite a bit but she road thru everything with us and things came out wayyy better than we could've hoped for. 500% would recommend her for any cakes needed and the 2 flavours were delicious 🤤🤤

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BIRTHDAY CAKE Katrina has made for our daughter's 100 days celebration. We are so lucky to have found this hidden cake shop in Doncaster.

The idea came last minute and we had to organise a custom made celebration cake in a week. We have spoken to 5 -6 different local cake shops, but none of the them can accommodate our request within our budget in such a short notice.

Kat is very responsive, friendly and accommodating. She has gone above & beyond to ensure the cake looks perfect on the day. She is so easy to deal with. Not to mention the cake is actually very delicious. We will definitely be coming back for more cakes in the future. We will be telling all our friends about you!!

We ordered lots of mini cupcakes for my birthday, so people could enjoy several different flavours. They were charmingly decorated and the flavours were exquisite! My only thought is that I would have enjoyed more orange or lemon peel in the citrus cupcakes. Awesome job! Thank you!

We were so incredibly happy with our wedding cake made by Kat. Our cake not only looked amazing but tasted amazing. After doing a cake tasting, we struggled to choose a flavour because they were all so delicious. Eventually we decided on a 2-tier cake with 2 different flavours, a caramel mud cake and a Choc orange (jaffa) flavour. Our guests loved both flavours but I personally think the choc orange was a huge stand-out. I'll be so sad when we finish the leftover cake!
Kat was also so easy to deal with. The constant communication was great and she also coordinated with our florist to organise the cake flowers to match my bouquet.
We had such a positive experience with Kat's Cakes and will definitely use Kat again :)

Amazing cake for my daughter's 4th birthday party! It was decorated perfectly and the red velvet flavour was delicious! Had so many compliments, will definitely order again!

Walked past today on our morning walk and saw Kats cakes have opened for takeaway coffee. Ordered a long black and enjoyed it on our walk. Great smooth Melbourne coffee and friendly service too. Small cakes in the window looked absolutely delicious also!

Alannah made our wedding cake a few weeks ago, and she absolutely nailed the brief. The cake not only looked incredible, but it was delicious and moist. We got 2 flavours - Raspberry & Vanilla and Chocolate & Vanilla marble. I highly recommend her - outstanding all the way through.

Used Kats Cakes for our wedding cake. How the cake looked was exactly how we wanted it, and the taste and flavour was also perfection! Our guests are still talking about it a week later! Kat is also a lovely person and very easy to communicate with.
