I discovered THE WOK STORE ... Auburn , MELBOURNE .. during my search for a " wok ring " .. great decor and ambience .. Anthony and Lily greeted me finely , and, with great customer service, " said wok ring " was .. in the bag .. Highly recommended ..

I bought a large wok from Anthony before Christmas and wanted to give it a good workout before reviewing….. What a fantastic buy!! I used to season my own woks but never ever did I achieve the surface that the wok store have. An absolute pleasure to cook in and so easy to clean. Unless you are an experienced Chinese chef do yourself a favour and experience cooking on an expertly seasoned wok from this store. Extra points for all the accessories they sell and for being so lovely to deal with. Highly recommend 👍

"Woks or guitars?" is how you may be greeted at this small, lovingly presented and very welcoming shop that specialises in both of those items (the shop window currently - May 2023 - shows mainly guitars, so don't be fooled if looking for The Wok Store, just head on in). Their backstory is quintessentially Melbourne AND international and really informs the quality of their woks, which is what I went in to buy... and they are amazing pieces of cooking kit. Check out their website too, it's highly professional and belies the small, personal nature of this business.

Wok set arrived today. Great price and good quality. Look forward to cooking more Asian food.

Update: have just cooked chilli tofu. This wok is the best (I have bought quite a few over the years) - so easy to clean and cooking, it gets to smoking temperature (never had that with previous woks). Note: I used induction cooker so was pleasantly surprised. Have cooked enough rice to try fried rice tomorrow.

The Wok Store is a go to store if you are looking for excellent customer service and quality woks that makes food taste better. I had concerns with my new wok as it had well defined cracks on the bottom. Contacted Anthony and a replacement was sent to me.
Cast iron wok DOES make the food taste better. And the weight of the iron wok is manageable. Thank you Anthony!

Absolutely love using my cast iron wok, which I purchased recently online from the Wok Store. The wok bundle came with everything you'd need for stir frying and steaming. Excellent customer service from the Wok Store team, who arranged a replacement for a damaged clay pot.

Purchased a Wok value pack at Christmas and had been enjoying many
stir-fries over the past months. Best wok we have owned so was annoyed when a crack appeared in metal a couple of weeks back.
Emailed Anthony to see what might have caused it as the wok has never been dropped and had always been handled as per instructions.
Replacement was sent without any drama.
5 stars for both the wok and the customer service.

Quality pre-seasoned wok. Easy to order, but wok sizes & style not all that clear on the website so i ordered a large wok thinking it had a hanging ring on the end of the handle it was only the smaller wok that had a ring. The delivery service was quick enough but my wok came with a broken box which was a combination of poor packing & rough handling. The wok was scratched quite a bit (not inside though). So, i had a large scratched wok with no hanging ring, not a good start. However, the 5 stars are for the after sales service. I called & emailed the store thinking i may get a too bad, so sad response but it was the opposite. They were great & sent a new wok with a ring at no charge & I could keep the scratched one which I gave to my daughter. She loves it & I love mine.

Highly recommended! Our new wok from the Wok Store is brilliant! It is the first "real wok" we have used. Our previous woks were Teflon coated efforts and they did not come close to cooking as well as our Wok Store purchase. The wok was perfectly seasoned straight out of the box so, after a quick rinse in hot water, we were ready to go.

Bought a pre-seasoned wok bundle (41cm round bottom) the other day as I wanted a large traditional style wok to feed my huge family. I very excitedly cooked my stir-fry tonight and OMG it tasted amazing. The wok heated very quickly and evenly with a satisfying smoky zing when I added my ingredients. Extremely happy with my purchase. Thanks so much for the beautiful pre-seasoning as it made my stir-fry taste very authentic. Can’t wait to try it with traditional soups or steaming. The timber handled wok utensils are absolutely beautiful as well and a joy to use.

I have used many good quality woks before but never a cast iron wok because of its weight. I like cast iron cooking as food taste so much better cooked in cast iron, and as soon as Anthony explained to me that this cast iron wok isn’t very heavy like I have imagined, I thought I like to give this wok a chance. And as soon as I opened the box, I knew it is going to be my favorite wok – it is indeed very light; very thin; it heats up very quickly; it is beautifully designed with a large flat bottom surface which makes it very versatile for various cooking needs. Highly recommend it.

I had a problem with the previous model wok handle which broke while cooking. We believe it was weakened during shipping and handling. I told Anthony about it breaking and he instantly sent me a new one of the latest model free of charge. Great service, very friendly. Someone you can trust to resolve your problems if you have a problem with a product. Highly recommend.

I'm so happy that I did some research and discovered the Wok Shop. As soon as I opened the box, I was pleased to see how beautiful it looked and how light it was. I know that this is a wok that I will love and use forever. I've used it every day since I received it four days ago and cooking with it is an absolute pleasure. I knew as soon as I first heard the sizzle of the food when it hit the wok that this was going to work out amazing. I haven't got any idea what I'm going to do with my old teflon wok (which is like new) because I wouldn't want to inflict that on anyone. I'd rather recommend that they invest in themselves and buy this beautiful piece of equipment from the Wok Shop. Having said that I recall paying around $200 for my teflon wok, so in reality paying less for a superior product is a no-brainer. You will not regret it. Ever.

I researched into multiple types of cast iron Woks and this is definitely the BEST one! It is seasoned so well, and it’s not heavy like other cast iron woks i.e. Lodge etc. It’s going to last forever. I would absolutely recommend it!!

I had a wok sent over to Perth and it got damaged by the courier. They sent a new one, no questions asked. It's a great product and excellent customer service.
