On 6 March 22, my home was significantly impacted by storms. As Allianz was my insurer, Crawfords was appointed to assess my claim. Chris Harris of the Melbourne office contacted me and advised that he would be handling my case. In the days that followed, he either phoned or emailed me daily, providing advice as to what was happening and where the matter was up to. I spent 25 years managing staff, and in particular, customer service. To say Chris was outstanding is an understatement. He went above and beyond what I expected, and is a genuine asset to the company. Based on my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend Crawfords.

I have been overwhemingly happy with the experience from start to end. Senior External Adjuster from Crawford and Company George was extremely professional and made sure everything was done correctly.

I am so happy with the final result in that my premises was returned to it's original state with the minimum of disruption and care and kindness were shown to me. I truly appreciate it and cannot thank George enough.

I wish I could say my engagement with Crawford and & Co on an insurance claim was a quick easy process but it was not. Granted there are many parties involved when making an insurance claim when the claim is $20,000+ the process took quite some time with much following up on my end.

I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Crawford Insurance and their abysmal customer service. My recent experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare.

To begin with, the response time from Crawford Insurance was outrageously slow. We reached out to them multiple times via phone and email, hoping to get some answers regarding our policy. However, it felt like we were speaking into a void. Days turned into weeks, and yet we received no acknowledgment or response from anyone at the company. It is utterly frustrating to be ignored when you have legitimate concerns and questions about your insurance coverage.

Not only did Crawford Insurance fail to address our inquiries, but they also showed a complete lack of professionalism by not even bothering to respond. It's as if they don't value their customers' time or understand the importance of prompt communication. Such negligent behavior is completely unacceptable from an insurance company that claims to provide reliable and efficient services.

The lack of response left us feeling helpless and abandoned. We were left in the dark about our policy details, and it created a sense of insecurity and uncertainty. How can we trust an insurance provider that doesn't even bother to respond to their clients? It's clear that Crawford Insurance has a severe problem with their customer support system, and it's imperative that they address it immediately.

Considering the slow response and nonexistent communication we encountered, I cannot in good conscience recommend Crawford Insurance to anyone. If you're seeking an insurance company that values its customers and provides adequate support, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. There are countless other insurers out there who will prioritize your needs and provide the level of service you deserve.

In conclusion, my experience with Crawford Insurance has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their lack of responsiveness and disregard for their customers' concerns is truly appalling. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment by choosing a different insurance provider that will actually provide the support you need when you need it.

If it was possible to have 0 stars I would. We put a claim through Allianz in March 2022, By May this had been assessed and Excess paid, In that time C&C has FAILED to act in reasonable time to fix the damages claimed. In that time, we have sold our house and settlement is in now 6 days. They never call back and never follow through. They have done NOTHING - Works are still outstanding. They claim they can't reach the flooring company but this just crazy since we can without a problem! Worst dealings ever. Request someone else and save yourself a shocking headache.

This company is a joke, lied, provided conflicting reports and failed to provide information in a timely manner. Ultimately their recommendations were overturned but not without copious amounts of effort, stress and hiring professionals to undertake the task. These people are snakes hired by insurers to provide favourable yet untrue reports to them. Don’t allow their involvement.

Terrible and unresponsive team. Our house was flooded in February and the Crawford loss Adjustor Eythan took 3 months to put a building scope of works together after we were asked to vacate the property in February immediately to accommodate them. The house then became more mouldy and damaged because they delayed repairs for 8 months, refused to pick up the phone, wouldn’t return emails and unnecessarily stalled our repairs. I found alternative repair demolition builders who could start work straightaway after waiting another 3 months for them to “approve” the strip out and remediation works but this was refused by Crawford for no reason, who instead wanted to use their remediation company Juvenaire to delay the works for another 2-3 months. Then their builders Watermark refused to complete our repairs in Oct even after being on site in Sept and keeps underquoting to reduce their liability. I’ve found an alternative builder who can start work in Nov but Crawford has now told us they can’t approve an alternative quote for another 2-4 weeks which addresses the same items their builder quoted for. If you have a choice, stay as far away from this company as possible. Worst customer service and unresponsive team who don’t care to provide solution focused outcomes for displaced flood victims. We were hoping to have our house repaired by Christmas but Crawford has repeatedly delayed and only wants to use slow providers who delay and benefit themselves by avoiding responsibility.

After my insurer Allianz passed my case to Crawford I was contacted promptly asking for all the related documents and that would be looking into my case straight away. Then months passed without being able to contact them, and no updates. Allianz lodged a formal complaint as they too had no idea what was the hold up. I was contacted by the complaints department who told me my loss adjuster was hard to contact, was I happy to close the complaint?
I kept pushing for answers until my adjuster was finally reachable after escalating to her manager. She had not touched my file after a year, requesting each doc again in separate emails, replying months in between. 1.5yrs later I finally have a cash settlement which wasn’t a large sum to begin with, and still havnt been paid months on. Worst company I have ever dealt with, outcome being I will never insure with Allianz again.

The worst company I have ever had to deal with.
Thirteen months trying to get my claim resolved and just as many different assessor’s dealing with me.
Every time I speak to someone they are different and have no idea about my claim.
A totally useless company,I hope I never have to deal with them again once this saga is finally finished.

My Assessor Ethan was literally non contactable. Never EVER answered his phone, or returned calls and never replied to my emails and my claim dragged on for months. I spoke with the company numerous times and got nothing.

If your insurer hands your claim to Crawfords, refuse access and request another assessor. I've had two claims on two different houses progress through Crawfords, the first was from water ingress during a storm event and was denied as a "maintenance issue" - I hired a roof plumber who not only proved them wrong but fixed the problem for $750. Never had a leak since. Had a builder review the claimed maintenance issue who said the condition of the cladding wasn't relevant as it had another layer under it that was appropriate and in good condition. I also had an engineer to review the roof design and do new calcs and found no issues. The second claim on another property again after a major storm event was also described as a "maintenance issue" and denied. The insurer subsequently decided to honour the claim and handed it back to Crawfords to organise the repairs who then did a scope of work that did not include all the damage and wouldn't budge and will only use a building company that has poor reputation so I will not use them. Still talking with the insurer to try and work it out and seeking my own assessment and quotes from local tradies.

Unprofessional, untrustworthy with sneaky tactics. steer right away if this firm gets involved in any matter of yours. If I could give them -100 rating I would - they’re nothing but an incompetent firm from top to bottom. Martin, who is the representative I dealt with was was utterly pathetic and dishonest from the get go. I repeat do not let him or this firm get anywhere near your matters.

Would give them -5 stars if possible. Absolutely the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Beyond incompetent is an understatement. Lost my claim had to resubmit quotes and practically do their job for them. Calls and emails ignored on a daily basis. Wouldn't hold your breath waiting for them to do anything.

If I could give them -5 stars, I would. Allianz put our claim through them & they have been absolutely useless. If your insurance company puts your claim through these guys you might as well retract your claim because nothing will get done & I mean NOTHING!!!

Absolutely Useless. Was put onto these guys from our insurance company and they did nothing of any use in 8 weeks. Ended up just getting quotes for the repairs our self after we got sick of waiting. No communication unless we got onto them to ask where it stands. They had no sense of which order things should've been done through the whole process. If your Insurance puts you on with these guys, GET SOMEONE ELSE INSTEAD!
