Ada Hodgson

When I saw the gorgeous sunflower ring design from Ada - I just knew I had to have it. But as I generally only wear rose gold, I had to request a few changes. But Ada made it no worries at all!
Ada was amazing to work with - took the time to show me different stone colours and what would work well with the rose gold. The process was a lot of fun and the final piece was exactly what I envisaged. And we did it all remotely via email /message. Such pleasure to work with and I have a beautiful piece of jewellery!

We custom-made our wedding rings with Ada and would give the whole process 10/10. Initially, we weren't sure of what we exactly wanted but Ada was so patient and explained our options including what type of metal, the finish, the stone etc. We had a piece of family jewellery that we wanted to complement the wedding bands and Ada's recommendations made them come together beautifully. We needed to get the band resized and she was very helpful in arranging an in-person appointment and resized the band very quickly while we were in Melbourne. We would definitely work with Ada again in the future!

This was such an exceptional experience from start to finish! I'm so happy with the ring that I bought from Ada and that I bought from her rather than buying online. Ada has made significant pieces for special occasions over the years for my partner and I: beautiful earrings, custom rings for anniversaries and special occasions, and most recently our matching wedding bands. Ada is stunning to work with - thoughtful, caring, accomodating; a talented and exciting designer using ethical material sources - and has always consulted meaningfully with us about our most intimate projects. We will work with her again soon to repurpose some precious family stones into something memorable. I wear my rings every day and I adore them.

Ada cleverly crafted my favourite ring of all time, hunting down and selecting the perfect opal for me that, depending on which way the light hits it, looks like a rainbow, a sunset and everything in between.

She worked closely with me on opal selection and guided me on the perfect setting and gold colouring.

Ada's jewellery is stunning. I purchased her Floral Relic necklace recently, with a custom-sized chain, and it's gorgeous as well as being of high quality. Receiving the necklace in the post in its stunning packaging made me feel as though I'd been sent a lovely gift from a friend. Ada herself was super helpful with customer service as well. If my house burnt down and I could save only one possession I would save the wedding ring that Ada Hodgson made me...except I wouldn't have to because it literally never leaves my finger. But my attachment to the ring isn't just because of what the ring signifies or that it is quite literally physically attached to me but also because of how much Ada nailed the brief. She created something innovative and original but also classically modish. The ring somehow makes me feel like I'm a cool person and also like I'm Frodo Baggins, neither of which I am. Ada was wonderful to work with, is both extremely personable and emotionally intuitive, and made the whole process enjoyable and easy.
