Japanese Gourmet Kenji

I was pleasantly surprised to find that their prices have actually dropped a couple of dollars compared to two years ago. This is a rare and welcome change, especially considering that the quality of the food remains as good as ever.

The dishes are consistently delicious, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors that make every visit enjoyable. Whether you're a long-time fan or a first-time visitor, Kenji continues to deliver a satisfying dining experience.

Homely Japanese restaurant and relatively inexpensive and authentic. Enjoyed a quick meal here and will go back again. They even had fresh strawberry daifuku which was a big surprise, although the strawberries in Australia don't compare with Japan unfortunately.

I couldn’t recommend this place more! What a hidden gem in our local community! The taste of food was soooo good! Absolutely Japanese authentic flavors! I shall go there more often and try the food I haven’t had yet.

Good authentic Japanese food. Great variety and can get quite busy. Very conveniently located with lots of parking behind. Particularly love the Katsu Don!

A very nice restaurant for delicious Japanese cuisine. Dishes are well prepared and service is quick. The complimentary hot Japanese Barley Tea is a nice touch. Highly recommended.

Biggest bento I ever had - 2 large pieces of eel, deep fried prawn, calamari, crab croquette, dumpling, chicken karaage, agedashi tofu, salad with sesame sauce and seaweeds, plus miso soup. Everything cooked perfectly and tasty... walked 2 hours after this, too much food.

Forgive me for bad shooting. Had gourmet grade sushi set with excellent taste and presentation. Asked staff standard one would have more salmon would try on nice visit. Also had chicken karage and crab cream croquette with no complaint.

An excellent choice for affordable and authentic Japanese food. Just a warning - food can be a little slow when the shop is busy.

I go weekly to Kenji cause the food is abosultly amazing. My favourite is the soba noodles and beef hotpot. The service is stream friendly but when it's gets really busy the food sometimes takes some time to prepare. Also, when you buy the sushi hand rolls they even cut them up for bite size pieces for takeaway and eat in.Lastly the Bento boxes are huge for $14.80!

I love this place because it's actually Japanese not someone else pretending to be so. The only affordable place of this type in this side of town. Chicken Katsu Don for $11.80 dine-in in 2022 is great value.

My go to Japanese restaurant in this area - whenever I'm in the mood for Japanese food, this is the place I go. Their restaurant has a traditional feeling to it. Their fish (salmon is what I order) is always very fresh. I order it as a salmon sashimi don or nigiri (or both). I also always order the crumbed shrimp sushi which is always perfectly crispy! Their teriyaki chicken is very tasty & my partner always orders it. Recently I've been craving udon so the Kitsune Udon is a winner for me. I don't think you can go wrong here no matter what you order.

A small hideout serving authentic Japanese cuisine manned by Japanese. My first visit today and I had Chicken Katsu Don for $8.80, really value for money.

Great local Japanese cafe. The decor and interior is nothing flash but the food is delicious, fresh and great value for money. Highly recommend the sushi and the bento boxes.

Good place to enjoy a family style Japanese meal at a reasonable price.

Had the vegetarian bento box and it was delicious, came with a free miso soup! Absolutely rate this place and will be coming back
