Springvale Library

World class library. What a difference the upgrade has made. Very modern and suitable for the needs of the community. Plenty of sitting spaces to study individually as well as with groups with the meeting rooms. Felt very safe and comfortable. The colour scheme creates such a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Parking all day on the weekends but limited to 2 hours on the weekdays.

I had a great experience with the JP service in this library. Thank so much for Bill of witnessing all my documents. He’s a nice gentleman and very patient with me. The library looks beautiful inside and outside as well.

Very safe and civilized vibes with a rec park and basketball court , Security guards patrolling during the opening hours and lights on all night every night , Sitting right next to the other side of the police station and market place too , A great place to chill with family and friends

The best library sits in the southeast of Melbourne. It has lots of meeting rooms, various books, free Wi-Fi, Apple Mac, a recycling station, kitchen and drinking water. Also there has a Cafe that provides takeaway. Friendly and helpful staff. This place is literally amazing.

We finally took a walk here yesterday after dinner. It will be our new hang out place with the kids, they loved it! Many activities for all ages, playground were clean, many table, benches and bbq facilities. Nice green grass for picnic and even a coffee shop as well! Table tenis, table for chess players, basketball court and much more! Well done on the new place City of Greater Dandenong!

I enjoyed staying here. Pretty big library you can do many activities. Plenty of parking. My kid visits this library often and loves the place.

This library is beautifully designed with great spaces to work/study inside and out, and a large kids area which my children love! So many books to choose from and nooks to read in! The staff are also very friendly and helpful, and the playground outside is fantastic.

The New library is just awesome and the infrastructure is so advanced as compared to the old ones.Parking spaces aren’t enough but the night view is so cool with the palm trees 🌴 at the front 💥.Don’t forget to get the membership card to use the services inside the library.!

Great! 2 levels, private rooms, outdoor and indoor areas, friendly staff, tea and coffee facilities, clean, modern, heating/cooling, free to use/join, close to shops and Central Springvale

It's within the Springvale community hub where the town hall is too. 2-hour parking available and not so busy most of the time. The restrooms are great!

good selection of books and magazines in different languages and also have a great place to seat and do a bit of studying while being away from noisy. plus have kids activities from babies to school age children/s and adults as well.
and have after dark activities for adults on Thursdays nights which is extremely great 👍👍

It’s really nice. The library was getting a bit old before it was renovated, and now it looks amazing. There’s a basketball court set up outside with fences to stop balls from rolling onto the road, and they’re busy until night. The interior is awesome too. It’s an awesome place to study. It’d be really cool if all libraries looked like this.

Checked out the new library/park today and was super impressed. Great playground, barbecues, ping pong tables, large screen, even a water feature for kids to play in. The building itself looks great, really interesting design, and there are lots of thoughtful details inside. Well done to the people who made this happen, this space is a real asset to our community!

Great facility with attentive staff. My son attended a workshop by Adam Wallace and despite not being an overly creative child in the artistic sense of the word he participated and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The library is easy to navigate for able bodied people (it has all the looks of being accessible otherwise (elevators, wide walkwides, etc, though I have no experience navigating the space aside from my own)
Sections and books were well maintained and easily found, there also seemed to be a wide range of different sections covering most/all needs.

This place is AMAZING-from the abundance of super friendly and helpful staff to the cafe run by a lovely lady that remembers you by face, serving delicious coffee and food..!! It is well set up with more resources you can poke a stick at-anything you can think of really 😊
If you’re like me and thought the old library was a a wonderful place to go, wait until you feast your eyes on this one…

This library has encouraged me to be more productive during exam time!! Love the facilities because they're modern, has a 2-floor building, and private room!
