Derby Thai Caulfield

I recently visited this place, and it's the best and pocket-friendly spot I've come across. I tried their green curry and rice two years ago, and the taste is still consistently great. This time, we had pad Thai, tofu green curry with rice, and Pad Med Mamuag. The food was delicious, delivered on time, and the service was incredible. A must-visit for Thai food when in Caulfield.

This is one of my all-time favorite comfort food corners. Among other cuisines, I love Asian cuisine as well and have a special interest in East Asian foods. This time I tried Khow Pad Krapow, Tom Yum Chicken soup, and curry puffs. The food was freshly cooked, well flavored, and was well presented. This restaurant serves one of the flawless Tom Yum soups having an authentic flavor.
I never got a chance to have dessert from the Caulfield shop as always they say that they don't have it. So that must be the only suggestion I would offer for their improvement.

Writing this review right after my meal on Jan 15, 2024. Incredibly delicious food. I had Pad Thai ($17) and Pad Nam Mun Hoy ($18) and wow what a blend of flavours. I highly recommend it.

Could do with an expansion of floor space having these crowd! Congrats! Dishes have been consistently within the same standard and as delicious as always. Good job to the chefs.

It was good overall a wonderful experience. First authentic Thai food after landing in Melbourne. Had pad Thai and Vegan special. Rich in flavour and taste. It's normally always crowded and some might even get waiting time but it's surely worth the wait.

Saw an unreasonable customer complaining about the dish while she basically finished more than half of the plate and demanded for some sort of compensation. The female staff who attended her did a good job in handling the situation and was absolutely patient and nice. I mean if it was in her position I would have been furious, food is great at Derby Thai as always and I'm a regular, they deserve more 5 stars review!

Great value for authentic Thai food!

I honestly expected mediocre quality considering the price range, but WOW! Definitely exceeded my expectation. Amazing value for money - lunch deals for under $10 (and pretty big portion size as well!)

We grabbed Thai Fish Cakes ($8), Satay Chicken ($8), Pad Thai
Pad Thai ($12), Thai Red Curry ($9.5). I liked their satay chicken the most. Fresh, tasty and juicy - cooked to perfection. It's the perfect no-frills joint for a quick hearty lunch.

If you are a student at Monash Caulfield campus, highly recommend you to check this joint out!

Great experience! We went around 5pm on a Wednesday and it was not very busy. Service was extremely quick. Food was hot and delicious and great value for money! Would recommend.

One of the best Pad See Ew I’ve had! So many great food options in the area and this is one of them. If you’re a uni student who’s worried about exams and needs to feel good about something, Derby Thai will take your mind of it for a second. Why go to KFC or 7/11 when you get beautiful, fresh Thai food from people who love what they do

Small place, but good and service. They have a separate vegan menu as well with good selection.

Ordered two fried rices through ubereats and the food arrived within 20mins, piping hot and DELICIOUS. Would definitely try their other meals on the menu as well.

One of my go to places, with amazing fresh made options in Thai and Asian cuisine! Their pricing is reasonable and the staff is lovely!

Recommendations - Green Curry, Pad Kee Mao, Pad Gratium, Thai Fried Rice, 37C, Jungle Curry

The shrimp tom yum is generous with shrimp, refreshing and hot. Pad kee mao is so good, I love it!

I was a student at Monash Caufield campus so everybody from Monash Caufield knows about this place. The food is spectacular while affordable...my favourite has to be their Pad Kra Pow with an egg also Pad See Ew. Their Path Gai is also nice.....highly recommended.....

I’m very impressed!!! Only a small casual looking place but food came out super fast! Very reasonably priced and the flavour is on point! I got the Penang Curry and it’s up there with some of my faves! Thoroughly impressed! Would eat here again

Been my favourite Thai place in Melbourne. Being an extremely selective person trying different cuisines I really enjoy having the Khow Pad Krapaw vegetarian at Derby Thai

DELICIOUS GREEN CURRY, TOM YUM AND PAD THAI!! we were served 15 min after we sat down and given generous portions. The soup was served boiling hot which we liked, and there are free condiments such as chili oil and salt on the side which add to the experience. Loved it, 10/10

I have been eating at this restaurant for years and it never fails to impress. Beautiful well portioned food that is very well priced and the staff are ultra friendly and efficient. Highly recommend it to anyone that has a passion for Thai food.
