What a little gem this place is. About 18km out of Hamilton. Lots of flat space for caravans and easily accomodates big fifth wheelers. Camp fires allowed but need to bring your wood or scrounge outside of the park of which there is plenty. Great place for an overnighter. When we were the police and the ranger patrolled thru which was good. Lots (20+) lazy kangaroos hanging about the oval doing their own things. Saw a few drop bears up high in the gum trees but they did trouble us. Wannon Falls is a short 10min walk and worth walking to. Drop toilets were clean and supplied. Camp ground generally clean. Can recommend happily.

So worth the visit, great walking tracks, campground, free BBQ and picnic tables, swimming hole, lots of flora and fauna and the waterfall is a bonus.

Such a peaceful, relaxing location! The Falls weren't flowing much at all but that is to be expected this time of year. During winter the falls are stunning! There are undercover picnic tables and BBQ facilities, toilets and multiple camp sites available. Great for a quick stop for lunch or to stay for a while. Just be aware that on multiple occasions I have seen people camping right along side the BBQs, taking over, so no-one else can use them, very selfish behaviour! I added more photos today (3/9/22) to show when the Falls are flowing much better.

Great family friendly quiet camping area. Access for caravans, camper trailers and tents in the middle. Plenty of fire pits. Undercover area with tables and chairs, pizza hot plate, a wood fireplace and a woodfired oven which would be great for a Dutch oven or making damper. Bins available for camping rubbish. Running tank water at drop toilets, no soap, though it is clean and plenty of toilet paper also wheelchair accessible. Lots of wildlife sugar gliders, kangaroos, wallabies, hares even heard a quoll at night. Lots of birds. Lots of walking areas around to enjoy. Oval grass too long to be accessible when we stayed. Byo axe there is plenty of fallen branches and trees in reserve that need to be burnt before fire season.
Very friendly and hospitable locals highly recommend coming to stay we loved our time here.

Really great free camping spot. Has spaces for caravans and a large area for tents / swags. Extra things on site includes firepits, drop toilets (with toilet paper), undercover table area and BBQs. Just a short 10 minute walk to see the Waterfall. Highly recommend, perfect way to explore the area and close by to Hamilton !

Beautiful spot to camp, even has fire places and a woodfire oven. Definitely worthwhile.
(Always make sure to check for fire bans before using these things)
Lots of roos and magpies, which are less afraid of humans than normal which is nice.

Good campsite just up from the main falls and car park, clean drop toilets, nice setting with good shade. Lots of space for campervans and tent camping. Falls weren’t flowing at this time of year, but saw a mob of Roos.

This is a wonderful park.
There is talk of doing up the barbecue sheds and the only thing I wanted to say was that someone who travels full time and uses parks on a regular basis. The idea of replacing the timber tables and seats with aluminium one in my opinion is the wrong choice as they are shocking to sit on absolutely freezing cold on your butt. So possibly if they do need to be replaced could timber ones be considered?.

Best time to go is after a lot of rain..magical place in winter, lush, green, birds singing in echoes, fresh rainforest smell, beautiful scenery. The waterfalls complete a package of awesomeness in nature you must experience at least once in your lifetime.

24 hour stay limit, but we called up the council and they said it was fine to stay 2 nights as it wasn’t busy!

Very clean campsite and toilet. Great cooking area when we needed shielding from the rain on our first night. Lovely falls nearby to explore and love that it’s pet friendly.

Nice place to visit. You park your car right next to the falls at the top and hope water is flowing.

Not a lot of water flowing at the moment, however there is a over night RV park just up from the water fall.

Great free camp.. Big rotunda, fire places etc...
I was the only person in the camp grounds, so it was very peaceful. Lots of big grey kanga's.
Watched a punch up between 2 massive kanga's.. They're big there...
Falls were unreal especially the over hanging lookout...
Plenty of firewood around but you have to bring your own...lol

Beautiful area, the falls was only half as we hadn't had a lot of rain but still a great place to take photos. Easy to walk to from the car park to the observation area.
