We got takeaway from here the other day and don’t understand why it’s doesn’t have better reviews. The food was great the service was great the 3 girls in the shop were very friendly I was told it would be a 10 minute wait for my food and they had it ready in 8. The Fish was fresh the calamari was fresh and so was the prawns the chips were really good. We had takeaway at Fish by Moonlight two days prior and I think the have the reviews mixed up Anglesea Fish and Chips is the place to go when in Anglesea. Don’t waste your money at the over priced and poor quality food at Fish by Moonlight.

Pretty good fish and chips shop. Fresh flake well battered not dry and no smell of ocean. Potato cakes are awesome. Ordered 4 two for me and two for my daughter. My daughter liked it so much ate one of mine. Chips slightly crispy and inside is soft.

The grilled flake was kind of small, though absolutely delicious. Chips, potato cakes, and beef souvlaki (they were out of lamb and chicken) were also great.

We took the food across the road to the seats in the park and enjoyed it under the shade.

We'd definitely try again next time we're down there

Super fresh sea food right at the entrance of Anglesea. Be ready for a bit of a wait on weekends- worth the wait. Love the calamari n scallops. Plenty of parking right outside the store. Prices are in line with those of a tourist town.

Nicest fish & greasies I've had in a while. Flake are very generous size, actual flake, not just batter. Potatoe cakes were awesome, chips good. The containers of tomato & tartare sauce could be bigger though 🙂

Very nice fish and chips, seafood was very fresh and generous size, light thin batter and hot crispy chips, what more could you ask for, planning on going back later in the week.

Two generous flake, two real tatercakes, so many tasty chips (probably should have chosen the small portion instead of medium) for $33. Not bad. Very happy! From our experience today, I can recommend. Two hours later and the bloke keeps saying, ‘Yeah, that was really nice’, and ‘Best fish and chips I’ve had in years!’ Thanks

Best Fish and Chips we've had in ages! Everything was fresh, the local calamari was delish, as were the tartar and lemon and dill sauces. Thinking about their chips is making me hungry again!

Tasty local gummy shark and chips with good portions (we had the half size chips each and that was even more than enough)

The best fish and chips in Anglesea, as I have not tried the 2 other businesses that have opened up over the past couple of years.

Good selection of fried foods, fish, simple burgers, onions, sauces and drinks. Even can get an ice cream from the freezer if you want.

Was confused the other day as I ordered 2 fried whiting and got 4 pieces, but apparently if the fish does not measure up they add in extra.

The fish and chips here was pretty delicious. The fish didn’t have a lot of seasoning but it tasted as though it was good quality. The hot chips were a bit dry but they felt filling. They gave a good amount of food and it was a satisfying meal. I recommend going here.

My husband and I enjoyed delicious fish and chips, potato cakes and pickled onions recently. The flathead and flake were so fresh and presented well with lemon and the chips were amazing ,not overcooked. Highly recommended.
