We got an appliance through Designer Appliances which was coordinated through Camberwell electrics, there was an issue with the order being delayed in the lead up to Christmas so I called and spoke to Lillian who was super helpful and even managed to coordinate us getting our delivery before Christmas! Really appreciated her help and turned into a positive experience.

Camberwell Electrics have been around for 70 years so they must be doing something right. I found out first hand what that is. Hans Vanderstadt who has been in charge for 30 years oozes service, it is in his and his staffs DNA. This guy was so helpful to me that I was taken aback, it reminded me of days gone by.
I was inquiring about some audio gear that was on sale - for my Daughters birthday. I live on Phillip Island and I mentioned that locally there was nothing to match the price or quality. With fuel costs being so high - I thought to myself I might have to go elsewhere when Hans came to the rescue by suggesting that he could personally post out my Daughters presents. I can report back that my Daughter was delighted with her gifts, her words were she was in 'awe' of the sound quality! So I just wanted to acknowledge Hans and Camberwell Electrics for making it such a pleasant experience and thank you for going the extra mile for us. I will definitely be a returning customer. Extremely professional and outstanding service! Needed a full air con/heating system installed throughout the house - spoke to a number of different places, however my experience with Richard at Camberwell Electrics stood out from the crowd by a long shot. Richard was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, easy to work with and very communicative throughout the whole process (from deciding on the right system, answering my many questions, through to installation and all paperwork) - he clearly takes pride in his expertise and the work he does and took the time to exactly understand my needs and deliver a great product, service (and at a great price). I was very happy with the installation of 2 split system air conditioners/heaters in 2 bedrooms in our house. I got 3 quotes from different companies and Camberwell Electrics (Richard Nankivell) was the cheapest and clearly the most expert/competent. The installation was done 2 weeks after we confirmed the order and the actual installation only took a few hours and was done extremely neatly and professionally. Highly recommend.

We needed a split-system air-con installed in our home. We hunted around to get some quotes but found that Richard was not only able to get us a great price, but he was very easily to deal with and talk to over the phone. SOS...Our fridge broke down on a wintery Saturday at 4.00pm! Full of weekly shopping whilst trying to calm mum who sadly has Alzheimer's disease Help ! Sonja took my call sourced a Fisher and Paykel bottom mount fridge at a competitive price and spoke to the Manager and Owner Hans . The new fridge was delivered by Hans just after 5:00pm. We are so grateful for the exceptional service. Thank you Camberwell Electrics. Good old fashioned service isn't a thing of the past.

Felt like I had travelled back in time after being treated like a local and provided with the most considerate service gesture in my adult life. After trying to source far and wide for some controller holders, with one phone call Hans sourced and sent them out, providing information along the way and checking to make sure they had arrived. I am shocked and flattered by his excellent sent service and could not recommend Camberwell Electrics higher.

My washing machine "blew up" at 5pm! with 3 kids this was a disaster.
I called Camberwell Electrics straight away. They ordered a replacement over the phone. 8:45 the next morning Rob and Bob had it installed and I was back in business. The overall experience was fantastic. Friendly, efficient, I would highly recommend the whole team.

In the last 10 years have bought additional items and in recent times we have required an outdoor exhaust fan for our kitchen area and the same service applies. Great experience purchasing my new cooker and rangehood from Maria. She put up with my many questions and deliberations and was never impatient. Great price too! I ordered a dishwasher online and was promptly followed up by Maria. It arrived, and was collected and delivered to my rental property and installer and times arranged. On the friday night (same day as collection), it was noticed that the model provided was actually 1-2 models higher up the product range. By this time we had gone past the point of no return for order/instal for my tenant. I needed the invoice to reflect the model that was provided so that the warranty could be registered. After liaising with management, Maria acted in an utmost customer focused manner and arranged for me to pay a few dollars more (below their cost), and keep the supplied unit and reinforce me. I thought this was a great outcome obviously for me, not so for them, BUT they have again won a repeat client, who will espouse their values to other contacts and word-of-mouth referrals. Well done.

During the recent lockdown in Melbourne, I ordered a heat pump clothes dryer by phone for my daughter in Melbourne as her birthday present. The customer service from Joseph Grofton of Camberwell Electrics was excellent. There were issues trying to get hold of stock due to supply problems ( happening in many situations due to Covid restrictions) however Joseph went above and beyond to have the dryer delivered and installed by my daughters birthday.
I cannot thank Joseph and his Team at Camberwell Electrics for meeting, then exceeding my expectations.
