I had a great experience here, enjoying their diverse selection of dishes that capture the flavors of Malaysia. The steamed chicken stood out as a highlight, boasting with a delectable flavour. All dishes is so affordable and generous serving and great service👏

Fun Fact: This was our first time having flavourful hainan chicken and this definitely hit the spot! This will be our go to now ❤

Flavourful and delicious. Great for the Hainanese Chicken craving but the soups are also tasty and pair well with rice. Staff are friendly and the location is not too crowded. Lovely restaurant!

This is the best Hainanese Chicken rice in Melbourne. The quantity of the food was generous - we couldn’t finish and got a takeaway box. We paid only $3 extra to get an extra side dish and cold drink which was delicious and very good value also!!

Absolutely delicious!!! Tastes exactly the same as the previous store on Carrington Rd Box Hill before the relocation. The Hainan Chicken was so soft and with the chili garlic sauce made the perfect combo. They currently have an opening special until the 23rd April 2023 and I got the half serve of crispy chicken 50% off. Recommend calling up before hand to takeaway as there’s a bit of a wait time (20 minutes)

First tried their dish through takeaway during lockdown and today I finally had the chance to visit the actual store. Chicken was cooked perfectly, tender, juicy and mouth watering. The braised pork belly melts in your mouth. Also recommend the minced pork bean curd, goes super well with chicken rice! Shame that the bak kut teh is sold out but we will definitely will come again. Looking forward to the next visit!

Had lunch with friend … ordered hainanese chicken rice , bah kut teh and curry laksa to share . Very impressed. Easily as good as the best in Malaysia . Hainanese chicken was smooth and more like the authentic ‘kampong chicken’ that i like . Curry Laksa was very tasty and ‘lemak’ … even got served by an attentive smiley waitress from Serdang Malaysia!!! 👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩

When I have a chicken rice craving, this is where we come to as a family. The chicken is moist, smooth, tasty, the giblets are always a treat, and the rice is fragrant. Love this place.

Visited the old shop years ago and recently tried the new shop.

Had the fishball with "mee pok" noodles. Noodles were good however the fish ball was average.

There is a lunch package which includes the main dish, a side dish and drink for just under $20. Good value as we had the garlic pork ribs (good), chicken rice (good) and 3 layer tea (very good with palm sugar) and soup (good).

Service was slow especially for the chicken rice as it's the most popular dish.

Amongst other dishes, as the name suggests, this restaurant specializes in authentic 'Ipoh Hainan Chicken Rice'.

Serve portion is generous and the chicken is fresh. The rice that accompanies this dish is aromatic and cooked to perfection.
A very tasty and enjoyable dish for lunch.

5 August 2021: Dropped in for lunch today prior to 6th lockdown in Victoria as at 8pm tonight for 7 days. Roast chicken with rice and soup is as delicious as always. Highly recommended.

As its name says, it is amazing hainanese chicken rice. Chicken is so tender and rice very well cooked. Serve is very generous. Most of all you can help yourself to as much sauce as you like. Other food were very tasty too.

Great value chicken rice with giblets, with the luxury of ample supply of salivating chilly, ginger and dark soya sauce - the must-have for a complete Hainanese Chicken Rice meal. Quick and friendly service!

Service was good and the food was nice. We tried many different dishes including the chicken rice, the fish ball noodles and bakuteh. Very happy with the quality. You can also make a reservation if u are going in big groups.

Ginger/spring onion oil, chilli sauce, dark soya sauce condiments are on the table and you can help yourself. That in itself is amazing and very rare in Asian restaurants in Melbourne.

Great food; nice Hainan chicken rice, 肉骨茶， and roasted chicken. We didn’t really like the Hainan chicken dish though.

Tasty food only complaint would be no real area for waiting for takeaway food.

Used to go to the Glen Waverley one until it closed. Glad this one is just as good.

Edit: found the Glen Waverley one had reopened at the Village Cinemas. But I think the chicken at this branch is better.

Taste good! Reasonable price and good portion. But waiting is slightly longer due to peak lunch hours.

Authentic and delicious food. Liked the BBQ rice set, the Hainan Signature set and really enjoyed the scallion pancake. BBQ meat was moist on inside and crispy on outside. The chicken was well made. We’d eat here again for sure!

By far the best hainan chicken I have ever came across in Melbourne. They taste super authentic like the ones you get from Singapore/Malaysia.

The best part is that you can actually order the hainan chicken to be boneless which a lot of restaurants don’t usually do.

Their roast chicken is just superb! Highly recommend! Although their customer service could definitely be better.

Despite the name of the shop, their roast chicken is really the star of the menu in my opinion. Extremely authentic taste and the accompanying sauces are brilliant. Wide range of other options that are very delicious too.
