Mount Garnet Travellers Park

This park is awesome. Our second stay this year, although much drier than in July, the camping areas are green 💚. The birds and ponies are still here. Excellent service provided by Som. Always responsive to text messages and makes sure we are aware of the current situation. Last time I forgot my jacket and she kindly arranged to post it on to me in FNQ. 🙏 By far this is one of the cleanest and greenest parks I've stayed at and with great facilities. 😍😀

One of the nicest Caravan parks I have come across and felt safe and very peaceful. The owners have spent a lot of effort planting in this place with so many beautiful flowers and this attracting a wide variety of birds and some local wild horses as well to delivery manure fresh what else could you want. Great camp kitchen, sadly no pool but Innot Hot Springs isn’t far and was Smokey there so wouldn’t want to be outside camped in heavy smoke. It’s 30 a night unpowered but if you stay for 3 you get that night free so $20 a night for 3 nights and Innot Hot Springs is $10 for a day band so here is cheaper and much shadier and quieter.

This is the best stay in far north Queensland. Well appointed camp kitchen, very clean and spacious bathrooms, drive in and out caravan spaces under beautiful trees, with lush gardens full of bird life. Hostess, Somm, was very happy to help with any questions and is such a friendly face to have at the park. Our van needed repairs, and with such reasonable rates, and wonderfully relaxing setting, we had no problem staying over a week. Lake just down the road offers beautiful views for twitchers and artists...we caught no fish but think that was our lack of skills. Very pleased we found something special up here. Best of all, we could even keep our pet rooster and dog with us.
This park is a gem, not hidden and well recommended by two very fussy people, rooster called Lizzie and Rupert the dog.

My sister and I stayed here in August just for overnight stay, what a beautiful, peaceful, quiet place to relax and watch the bird life and forget about the city life, we wished we had booked for a longer stay, we will definitely be back and stay longer.The lady on the scooter was ever so helpful, thank you .

What a great Caravan Park. Stayed 4 nights and it was so peaceful. The beautiful trees and gardens make it very inviting. Clean amenities. Can highly recommend.

Incredibly accommodating and friendly staff, incredible birdlife, lovely cabins and clean facilities. Very happy with our stay!

Left Cairns later in the afternoon and had booked a site at the Mount Garnet Travellers Inn Park for the night. Lovely service to settle us in and we think her name was Monica was extremely welcoming. We loved patting her little family of Daschunds! The place was tranquil, clean and scenic! We had hired a campervan and we were even assisted to get the power going as we had left the much needed power cord. Although we left very early again the next morning it was a restful overnight stay with so much kind help! Thank you and we will recommend this place to anyone up at Mount Garnet in FNQ! Stayed here for 3 nights for the races and rodeo and had a fantastic time . From our first phone enquiry we could see that Monica was going to be a great host and we were not disappointed. She is most welcoming and makes sure that everything is up to your liking. The park is well maintained and amenities are always kept clean. I and my Motorcycle friends were booked by my wife after a disaster the night before . At a different place .
She spoke to Monica and was assured her the Dongas were very comfortable . Suitable for Two Guys ,Twin Rooms and including bathroom.
Monica is a speaker of truth. The room Fantastic so comfortable , freezing night and we both enjoyed the Electric Blankets on our individual beds. Plus the other three of our companions in their family room.
Totally Recommend the Park and this Lady Monica and the Mt Garnet Travellers Park. Best Accommodation since leaving Brisbane in way to Cairns

We stayed here as a large group and were blown away by this place! The manager was lovely and super helpful. The cooking area had everything we needed. The grounds are beautiful with plenty of native wildlife around and is only a short drive to local waterfalls and hikes. 10/10 will be back soon!

Stayed here with a bunch of my friends for a couple of nights. Very nice and clean spot for camping with lots of space (we were 14) and some horses roaming around. Close enough to some waterfalls to explore during the day and quiet at night. Can't ask for much more. Thanks to Monica for treating us so kindly.

It has all you need for a nice camping trip.
A nice campkitchen with utilities, toilets and showers with hot water, nice big lawns and horses in paddocks around.
The caretaker Monica was really sweet and helpful as well.
During our stay we went to big and little millstream waterfall which was beautiful!
Long story short - we had a great time :)

Mt Garnet Travellers Park is a great park, thank you for having space for a side opening camper -this is rare these days. Grounds are beautiful, has a good camp kitchen. They sell fire wood and have fire pits. Monica and Som are very welcoming.

OMgoodness, this Caravan Park is so awesome, amenities very clean, camp kitchen is great and even has a TV incase you can't get reception from your own caravan. Som and Monica are the perfect hosts. We visited Milstream Falls which is only a short distance away, but mostly we spend the time at the caravan park as it was so peaceful and had an abundance of birds and wildlife. We will be back again and would recommend this park to fellows travellers.

Our stay at the Travel Park on the weekend was very relaxing.

Very impressed with the cabin for 2 with ensuit, nice and cosy. The cabin was very clean. Proper cutlery and crockery, tea coffee, dishwashing liquid ect, ect. Even had Body wash. The staff were friendly ☺ and very welcoming.

The price of the cabins I thought were extremely affordable.

The camp ground were clean and well maintained.

Definitely will coming back and highly recommend the Park to others

After a big day of driving from Karumba, this was a very welcomed place of tranquility. This park is just beautiful with grassy , shady , flat sites, powered $35 or unpowered $30 p/n ( stay 3 pay for 2 ) It’s quiet and we’ll maintained, big tick ✅ from us ..

Beautiful small & secluded park! Highly recommend, the wildlife is abundant the amenities are modern. The manager was professional& polite. A very quiet & tidy park. Was a bonus to wake up to wild horses eating the grass around our site.

Oh my one of the best places I have stayed on my 2 month road trip!!! Peaceful sleep, clean amenities, only $3 for washing, nice natural park to escape from city, camp fires available 😁 Absolutely awesome
