Frank's Cakes

We popped in for an unplanned family brunch and can't wait for another trip. Despite being very busy, the food was quick and delicious. They offer a great range of dishes which meant that everyone got what they wanted. The serving sizes were large and a few of us couldn't finish, although we wanted to! The selection of delicious cakes meant that we simply couldn't leave without a few to snack on later, and they even have little treats for your fur-babies.
Perfect little pop in spot for a nice meal in a cozy environment.

It was so lovely to see Maria and our favourite waitress -Celeste again.
We hadn’t been there for a few years as we lhad been a few times when the previous owners had bought the cafe l we were unhappy with the food and service and had never returned
So what a pleasant surprise today ( on a spontaneous thought to o try again) to see the original owners were back.
The warmth shown was like seeing old friends. The food and coffee were great and we will definitely be back .

Great place to go for lunch or just a cuppa, big choice of yummy cakes. Been there a couple of times. It's lovely sitting outside on a sunny day and great inside too,so know matter what the weather is like you can guarantee having a good time 🥳

Franks is a really nice family business that has amazing freshly cooked food, breaky or lunch here is simply amazing with a large variety to satisfy the taste buds, the freshly made on site cakes and other items on the menu are without a doubt some of the best in Melbourne.
If you love a personable cafe/restaurant with owners and staff that have so much love for their customers and more so what they provide within high quality food and coffee then this is a must to visit only minutes away from the scenic Dandenong Ranges, an absolute must for anyone visiting or local to the area 💕

My cousin is a regular here, so my family and I had to try this for ourselves. Breakfast was great and so were their cakes. There is a constant stream of customers, some to dine in, some to takeaway, many do both. On weekends, pre-Covid, it will be crowded and you may have to park on the opposite side of the road. This morning, we arrived at 9.30 and it was easy to get a slot on site but their parking lot was choc-a-bloc by the time we left.

Seriously good coffee and amaaaaaaazing vanilla slice. Have purchased other desserts too and they were pretty good.

So far vanilla slice is favourite!

We ordered a Tiramisue cake based on Google reviews and it was Beautiful. Friendly staff in store, and they took the order via email on their gazetted closed day of the week. Thanks Maria

We have been customers of this wonderful place for several years. We recently ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday. Not only did it look fantastic but it was also the moistest red velvet cake we've ever had. Thanks you Frank's for making my daughter's birthday special.

I come here pretty regularly. The food is always so tasty and the waitresses are really nice :)

Stopped in as was in the area and was pleasantly surprised. Had the pulled beef pie which was delicious and also had the tiramasu cake which was 10/10 one of the best I've ever had. The service was very friendly and personable. Will definitely go back when in the area.

Never thought I’d say this, but I had the best scrambled eggs here! They were so silky and tasty and the bread served with it was so easy to cut through unlike most sourdoughs! Coffee delicious, staff friendly, service quick, reasonably priced. What more could you want!?

Frank's Cakes is now back in the hand of Frank! Incredibly experienced service from a crew who've known what they're doing for a long time. Friendly, warm and welcoming, delicious house made cakes to die for, pies with amazing quality fillings, and they hit the spot for my milkshake cravings. Speedy and consistent coffee service. An icon in the area, and deservedly so.

I am a regular customer and what an amazing ambience and environment. All staff are great and provide exceptional customer service with a smile on their face. Polite and friendly. The coffees and tiramisu are the best.Staff have all got a great sence of humour. Cafe that attracts customers very easily. As a customer you want to be there.Great people and great atmosphere.

Wow! AMAZING cakes! We had the eclairs (coffee as well as chocolate) and the citrus slice. Every cake looked so fresh and appetising. We also tried the spanakopita which was delicious!!! Please eat their cakes! Bonkers good!!!

My Son bought a Black Forest cake for my Birthday, which we cut tonight, and it was absolutely beautiful. Moist, generous with cream, and appropriately priced. My 1st cake from Franks. 5*

Amazing Donuts and Cakes. Great Service have been in with our kids and very accommodating. This time was a little takeaway on the way home after a big day. Will be back again

What an amazing cafe with incredible staff! We stopped in on a trip from Sydney to Melbourne and the food was phenomenal, lots of options and everything delicious. We picked up snacks for the trip back and I wish they had one here in Sydney!! Shout out to Marie!

Ordered a cake for my daughters 21st. My son forgot to pick the cake up at 1pm. Rang at 3:55 and how lucky was I that someone was still there. They very kindly waited for me to get there. The cake was a smashing success and everyone was still talking about how good it tasted today. Thank you Franks Cakes, you went above and beyond for me.
