Oriental Chef Devonport

Greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to a table immediately. Waitress was wonderful and attentive. She didn't hover, but when we were ready to place our food and drinks order she was there.
The food was tremendous. Very fresh entree, after that was finished they knew to wait just the right amount of time and our main dishes were served. Again fresh as. And awesome food.
Price was very very reasonable.
Definitely one to visit.

Fantastic. If you are a dumpling lover, I highly recommend all the home made dumplings, especially the pan seared pork with chives and the steamed vegetables dumplings. Salt and pepper pork and salt pepper squid was excellent. Other mains did not disappoint. 👍😋👍

I love eating at oriental chef. I tend to dine in more often and recommend the sweet and sour pork. Make sure to book as well as it tends to be quite popular, in the busy seasons around Christmas they are one of the only places which stays open. definitely recommend this place and recommend to try something different everytime.

Best Chinese I've had in the Burnie- Launceston Area.

Good prices, food was excellent, I recommend the Satay Beef or Honey Chicken. The dumplings were also a good size. Special fried rice was good, but a tad more flavour could be nice.

Desserts are good, banana fritter comes with vanilla ice cream and a choice of topping sauce. Deep fried icecream a good size.

Staff are very friendly and the dining area was clean and well designed, very modern. It is refreshing to not have tacky old decor.

The restaurant has toilets which were clean. Positioned in a good spot immediately next door to the cinema and Car park.

Great tasting food and reasonable portions. I had the kung pao chicken in combination fried rice and was happy.

I have nothing but the absolute best to say about this restaurant. My partner and I have gone in multiple times and we have always received outstanding customer-service from the main waitress. She is lovely and very attentive 😊. As for the food, it is very reasonably priced, the proportions are good, they have a lot of variety in their menu and the food is delicious and very flavourful. I would rate this restaurant more stars if I could, definitely a favourite of mine in the Devonport area.

As tourists, we ate in at the restaurant twice. The service was friendly and efficient. We felt very welcome. The food was superb. We were actually staying in Deloraine and travelled to Devonport again after discovering this gem of a restaurant on our day trip to Devonport. We are sad the restaurant is not local to us in Queensland.

Very good service. Although we went close to their closing time, the staff was very courteous & did not rush us to finish.

Great food, personable service. We had some delicious steamed dumplings, fried rice, mapo tofu and the coconut butter chicken (definitely a highlight). Will be back!

What a find! Lovely crisp, clean and modern decor. Friendly and attentive service. My compliments to the chef, as all our meals were delicious. We had the lunch time special and there was a great selection and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back and can only recommended this restaurant to others.

Very nice. Better than other asian restaurants in Devonport.

6 of us for dinner. All had a different main course and a variety of entrees. All very happy with our meals. Efficient service and everything was freshly cooked. Very generous plates and reasonably priced. Not an extensive wine list considering it is fully licensed. Felt that a couple of screens woild have added to the cosiness but all in all a great experience. Highly recommend.

This is a Laneway delight…. But fight your way here for this - it's a gem!!! Fantastic service, great food, fabulous wok talent behind the scenes and discount for cash - what’s not to like? PS it’s kind off behind McDonald’s and under the cinema down a lane. So glad we found it We’ll be back

Regular spot for dinner with friends, usual Chinese restaurant menu but food always presented nicely and very tasty. Staff professional and attentive.
