Lake Callide Retreat & Caravan Park

Thoroughly enjoyed a recent four-night stay in January 2024. The cabin was well set up with all essentials including air con, living room, kitchen, and a little laundry. Matt, the caretaker was very helpful with providing kayak hire and offering some local fishing tips. Ended up landing two barra at 99cm and 93cm. Some great fishing and kayaking opportunities within a 15 minute walk from the cabins. Hope to return again one day!

Matt and his family do well and present probably one of the best caravan park cabin style 4 person rooms with full features and close proximity to lake for fishing and recreational. Close to power plant. Only draw back was no wifi or wifi access at the office as password wad not working.

What an amazing little gem we found Callide Dam Retreat to be.
Matt the manager has to be one of the best we've come across and just a top bloke besides.
We stayed 3 weeks in our caravan on powered site doing redclawing and just enjoying the dam in our tinny.
The sites are lawned, large and spacious with room for caravan cruiser and tinny. Clean facilities on hand with access for disabled.
Pet friendly.
Beautiful park, BBQ facilities and playground a short walk.
Everyone we met were like minded genuine folk with a love for Barramundi fishing or Redclawing.
Short drive into Biloela with ample shopping available.
We'll be back.

A hidden gem. Very well maintained grounds. 3 x Unisex toilets very clean. Disabled extremely spacious. Good fishing in lake. Lots of red claws being caught. Very good playground and BBQ facilities at park 100mts away.

Had a lovely week at the retreat in the van park. Good powered sites, and spotless amenities. Got some nice redclaw for a feed, wasn't trying too hard for the big barra lol. Many thanks to Matt and staff for a very nice stay. Will be back and will happily recommend it to friends for a visit. Cheers, Dave and Elesa.

Small unique caravan park. If you dont need power $20 /day cheap. Clean bathrooms. Can have a camp fire.

Outstanding amenities provided for. Dump point and drinking water facilities.

They just had a bit of rain so ground in uncovered sites was soft but some really choice spots to set up on level ground and green grass.

Wonderful, informative host.

Wish we had more time to spend but this.just means another holiday soon in our camper.

A lovely caravan park with powered and unpowered options. Great amenities and lovely managers. Awesome for a fishing getaway with the lake right behind you and a stunning sunset to boot. Plus a great playground and large grassed area just around the corner as a bonus. Well be back!

Lake Callide Retreat is 5 star. The lake itself comes with beautiful views and magical sunsets. The park was very tidy and well maintained. Staff and locals very welcoming and knowledgeable. Pet and kid friendly with plenty to do. Cabins spotlessly clean and contains everything you need and more for an enjoyable stay. We highly recommend and will definitely be coming back again.

Matt at reception was so friendly and happy. The park and amenities were always clean and quite big. We were only staying for 2 nights but ended staying 3. The sunrise over the dam was spectacular. Would highly recommend a stay.

Cabins are very clean and much bigger than a usual 2 bedroom cabin. Easy parking with plenty of room for boat trailers beside each cabin.

First time we've been here and absolutely love it the camp grounds are kept spotless and the scenery is gorgeous. Peaceful and quiet and very friendly people, great place for the fur kids too. We will definitely be back more often

Very nice place to camp with really good, and clean, amenities. Great play area for kids and close proximity to the dam. And, it's only 10 minutes to town.

Such a beautiful place. The owners were so lovely and my kids had a great time. We felt really well looked after.

The cabins were comfy and had everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back!

Excellent time had here. Stayed in one of the air conditioned cabins, with a super water view and evening breezes. I hired a paddle board from the kiosk was great fun. Amazing value for money. Totally recommend.

Great stop close to Biloela just 13 k out of town, sites are spacious and lake in short walking distance with plenty of picnic areas. Very friendly, clean and tidy. Best sunsets and afyer dark look up at the stars!

The grass sites were excellent,no view of dam from caravan sites,but,very close.the dam is gorgeous, sunsets amazing.the camp kitchen was very good.Amenities block was fantastic

I highly recommend this place. It is an amazing place with beautiful sunsets there are a lot of activities to do like paddle boarding and kayaking. Matt was amazing and had the best personality I would go there for a joyful holiday with the family.

Been back 3 times now for the great camping and fishing. Facilities are modern and clean . Staff are very helpful and friendly
