Forest Rise Chalets and Lodge - Margaret River

We went for our first wedding anniversary. What a beautiful and peaceful location. The chalets exceeded my expectations. I loved the little touches that made it feel that more luxurious, like bath robes, candles, bubble bath , bikes, coffee pods all things that just seem little but create such a blissful getaway. I loved how clean everything was too, I'm a bit of a clean freak and I was really impressed with how clean and presentable everything was. We will definitely be back in winter ❤ thank you so much xx

I am a Registered nurse and don't get a lot of time off work. My husband was enjoying his 48th birthday. Loved the spa and the fact we could both have a glass of fine wine and enjoy the view. Very comfortable and accommodating. Thank you

Beautiful, tranquil location. Lovely to see kangaroos from our bedroom window. Very comfy bed and the massage was incredibly relaxing.

A blissful retreat in the forest. The team at Forest Rise have paid extraordinary attention to detail in creating these lovely chalets placed in secluded spots around the property. From the moment you enter you feel that you are being cherished. The sounds of the forest, the sights of the forest, the smells of the forest – just beautiful. Additional touches like bicycles waiting for you, the outside rainfall (hot) shower, champagne bucket beside the spa bath – together with sumptuous linens and a really comfy bed. So many native birds and scores of kangaroos. We will be back.

We recently had our wedding at Forest Rise and couldn't be happier with our choice. The venue and grounds were stunning and much appreciated by our guests. We stayed at the lodge which was sparkly clean, with a beautiful view over the fields. We loved the extra special touches of local wine and produce left in the lodge and chalets. Deb and Benson were amazing and their hospitality goes above and beyond. Highly recommend Forest Rise for your wedding or even a weekend getaway.

4.5 out of 5. Lovely sized chalets which have everything you need. The Lodge is superb too. We were here as part of a wedding group. The wedding went off very nicely down by the beautiful lake. Benson did a great job helping to make it all work. We’d only have one criticism and that is that when the hot weather comes the glass encased bathrooms are difficult to use as they get really hot from all the sunshine. Beyond that it’s a very quiet relaxing place to stay and surrounded by kangaroos and birds. We’d happily stay here again.

Wow wow wow!!! What an incredible place! We had stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding that was around the corner from our stay. We were so impressed with our chalet- Boobook Owl. It was so clean and tidy. The spa was incredible and the bedroom was so spacey. We loved the personal touch of Choccies, a google nest in every room and bikes to explore the area. Such a romantic location and we had truly enjoyed our stay. If we had to visit the area again, we would definitely be back. Only one request would be to get a guest book with more pages, we would have loved to sign our names and leave a note, it was beautiful to read all the other people's notes front their stays.

Beautiful chalet, luxurious, clean, all appliances you could need are provided, beautiful views, smart entertainment system. We booked a two bedroom chalet for only one couple. We had all the space, privacy and having the mountain bikes added to fun. We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of places to go to within a reasonable distance. Many thanks Forest Rise💕

My wife and I last visited Forest Rise Eco Retreat 18 years ago, and it was where I proposed to my wife. Returning here was long overdue and it was exactly the most beautiful place as I remember, with some extra tech fruit (Google Nest) that enhances the experience. Not only are the properties set apart from one another for privacy, the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding with the Kangaroo's (hundreds), is simply stunning. Additionally the locale of the site is perfect for e.g. Margaret River, for all your dining and drinking needs, whether it be shops or one of the many outstanding wineries. Bliss, and hopefully a return visit in the much nearer future.

Amazing! The chalet was so comfortable, the wine/cheese on arrival was lovely, and the bathroom ceiling!! But my favourite part was how nice the people are that run it. You don't get to meet them as it's a totally private check in, but any interaction I had with them over email was so pleasant and they seem like genuinely lovely people. We loved our stay and are already trying to find a date for our next visit.

Forrest rise!! What can I say except it was like returning home. We renewed our vows here in 2021 and returned for a holiday to the lodge in Jan 2023. It never dissapoints. The lodge is spectacular, the views are amazing and the service is fantastic. It's a little slice of heaven located in the picturesque South West WA. We can't wait to return again.

If you're looking for absolute privacy & tranquillity, Forest Rise is the place for you. The chalets are secluded in the beautiful natural bushland, and have everything you could possibly desire and are SO comfortable. We only saw one other couple briefly (on a trail) the whole time we were there! The perfect getaway to reconnect with nature and eachother. We'll definitely be back (and for longer) thank you!

This place is absolutely phenomenal! The cottage was super private, and comfortable with modern 5 star amenities. The outdoor shower surrounded by the bush was the icing on the cake! Couldn’t ask for more. Took a walk around the accommodation and there is just so much to see, birds, kangaroos and more! Definitely coming back.

We just celebrated my hubby’s BIRTHDAY here and stayed couple of nights. The chalet exceeded my expectations, all the small details in there gives you the feel of warm and cosy atmosphere. Chalet was warmed up for us, bubbly was chilled ready to pop. Amazing views from our windows. Loves the spa with the glass ceiling. Absolutely georgous, peaceful, stunning place to stay! The chalets have everything you need for a perfect getaway with your partner. Great rooms great surrounds. Even has a lit up over lake gazeebo perfect for picnics and gatherings. We love it here and will be returning again for sure!

An amazing location nestled away off the main highway in what, surprisingly, turns out to be a fantastic location.
As the other reviewers have already stated, the check in / out and booking process is quite simple and straightforward. There is a very hands-off approach to your check in and check out is done via a web link. The staff are very friendly and approachable. We had a phone call to confirm we arrived safely, and everything was satisfactory. There was a total fire ban, a notice on the fireplace, and this was verbally confirmed with us and also that the gas BBQ could be used however. A relaxed and enjoyable check in process.

We stayed in the Blue Wren chalet which was just a short walk to the lake. Upon our arrival was a bottle of bubbly in the fridge, glasses at the ready and the Air Conditioning set to a comfortable 22°C, a fantastic touch in the Australian summer while it was 40°C outside. A single AC in the middle of the chalet was enough to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep.
The chalet was clean and comfortable with everything we could’ve needed, a far better experience from others we’ve stayed at.

Also as we stayed over the Christmas period so there was a cute little LED nativity ball along with a personalised candle for us, a really fantastic touch.
The amenities are plentiful also. There were 4 bikes in front of the chalet (Helmets inside), an outdoor shower – of which the first time we went down there we interrupted a local kangaroo sleeping!
Plenty of games to play inside along with a Google nest hub max in the kitchen for entertainment along with a nest mini in the bathroom, which is awesome, as well as a Google nest hub in each kitchen. We went on a bike ride around the property, following the markers, which didn’t take too long and found plenty of wildlife to watch and take pictures of. There were Kangaroos a plenty, Kookaburras and we even spotted a Brushtail possum, which spent some time practicing for the Olympics on the roof late into the night. That said you are in the bush, in their natural habitat so expect plenty of wildlife including flies, mosquitoes etc. These are noticeable by the lake of an evening as expected, sitting under the gazebo with lights, along the lakes edge surrounded by trees which are also lit up. Sitting by the lake, on the freshly cleaned chairs, in the evening soaking up the peace and serenity was very pleasant indeed.

The accommodation is like a home away from home with everything you’d need to get away from everyone for a secluded break.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms are quite spacious, see the pictures.
Laundry appliances in the bathroom is also quite well kitted out.

I would most definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get away for some downtime or to use as a great base to explore the South West.

I dont know where to start - this place is amazing! From the moment you walk in, you can tell that the owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. We walked in to cosy lighting, the heating on, and a fridge full of complimentary goodies!! We loved exploring the property on the bikes provided, and absolutely LOVED the kangaroo spotting all weekend - we even managed to catch a few boxing kangaroos on our porch one morning, what a treat to watch! The fire place was roaring all weekend and we genuinely didn't want to leave. Thank you so much, Forest Rise. We will definitely be back! x

What a weekend! We booked the lodge with some friends and once we arrived we couldn't believe the place. Amazing secluded lodge in the forest, we had nobody around, such a great place to just wind down and relax. Starting with the booking, everything was so easy and Benson was such a darling accomodating to everything we wanted (organising yoga and massages for our 8 people group). We were welcomed with a pack of delicious local food and drinks, relaxing music, you could see the kangaroos jumping around the property through the window, just a dream to be honest.
