Fire & Stone Beach Front Restaurant Tangalooma

Having 3 days straight dine in here. I don’t understand why people giving 1 star (I think you guys just need to be a lil bit more patient) 🤭 Food is amazing! Service is fine since it’s always packed.

SHOULD TRY : Laksa Seafood Combo, Special Fried Rice, Stir Fried Beef with chili, and Kung Pao Chicken.

Since there are only 2 restaurants here.
I’ll definitely choose this over the other one 😁

Can't understand why customers rate Fire & Stone with 3, 2 or even 1 star! I've had 3 veggie springrolls and Green Thai Curry with chicken. It was delicious!! I would always return for these yummy dishes! People posted that it is expensive. I don't think so. Same people eat @ Maccas for 30 bucks and that's cheap for them 😅

The portions are big!! So if you are not that hungry do not order like we did. It was so hard to choose as there was so many good options on there. It is a bit pricey but it is to be expected on a tourist resort. But whatever price you paying for it is matched with the taste it all was just so succulent and good. Would recommend to try out! Being an open plan restaurant you do have birds and all sorts flying in so beware and its cooler than sitting outside but you are still baking so drink lots of cold water or a beer!

Based on the negative reviews I was concerned about the quality of food coming in. As a family of 4, we were all super impressed with the quality of food and service. We are foodies and can tell you there is no issue with the food from the Fire menu. Mains shared were Half Duck, Sweet and Sour Pork, Cashew chicken and Fried Rice. We have not tried the other food options yet. I will update if there is a need.

Really can’t understand the bad reviews from this place.

Staff were lovely, the food was incredible and it all came out within 10 minutes.

We had the deep fried bean curd, spicy king prawns, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour pork and fried rice. The bean curd and spicy king prawns were outstanding! On the menu it said that the spicy king prawns were hot, however the chef had skillfully removed all of the seeds from the chillies rendering them tasty and crunchy. Never before have I tasted a dish like this. If this restaurant we're on the mainland I would definitely go back regularly for this dish. Staff were very helpful. The chef went above and beyond when he decorated a BYO birthday cake that we had provided with strawberries. Without us asking, the chef cut up the strawberries and added their own cream to keep them in place on top. It's the attention to detail that gives this establishment 5 stars from us.

A brilliant little find. I was almost not going to go cause of the mixed reviews. Authentic Japanese with quality serving size. Good and quick service. Cold beer and wine after swimming was definitely welcome. As I saw most reviews were those who did not eat here, they missed out on a brilliant meal. I met David and found him friendly and yes he still works here🤣🤣. Peak periods expect long waiting periods or be disappointed, which is normal for any resort.

Only the Stone side ( Japanese ) was open and we had a fantastic meal there.
We had the starter combo and Salmon Lava. Both were delicious.
Staff were great and meals arrived very quickly.
Would be keen to try the Fire side of the restaurant if we get a chance.

Recommend go early instead of busy hours. We went there three times. Black pepper beef was very tender, highly recommended!😋 Very delicious food!👍

Phenomenal Laksa soup that easily could have served 2 persons :)

Really good food, it was so delicious. We went 2 nights in a row and wanted to go again for lunch. Yum yum

Fantastic Malaysian Laksa 🍜! First Laksa in Brissy I have tasted that is comparable to Darwin laksa and big enough to share between two. Beautiful seaside views and friendly service was a bonus.

We've been to Tangalooma.four times and we always eat here. It's relaxed. The wooden tables outside are metres from the beach. They have flares. It's a great atmosphere at a family restaurant on an island. The food is really nice and the staff are friendly. You can make a booking which is way better than scrambling for tables at some of the other places. We highly recommend it.

I love the vibrance in this restaurant. The food was great, A 3-course dinner that's really memorable. The soup was very good, grilled salmon was spot on, cake was lovely. Overall a great solid experience here and definitely will come here in the future

We asked for a soup, chicken rice noodles and duck. The soup came in an enormous bowl (we had 7 little bowl out of it). It was served hot, spicy and delicious. The chicken noodles were also very nice, I asked for a bit of soy sauce and they brought it immediately. The duck... Amazing, the orange sauce delicious. The service also very good and quick.

Wonderful food, large serves. There seems to be a lot of whinging here, ranging from birds and spiders in an outdoor setting to the serves are too big?? The food tasted great, we tried the laksa, singapore noodles, mongolian beef and pho, all great. I must admit the starters we tried all dissapointed, but every main was a hit. Also the birds that "bother" you are bush stone curlews, cute as and give me them any day over bin chickens. The other choices at the resort are dissapointing except for maybe the Beach BBQ grill.

Had the chinese, large tasty servings, great meat and prawns. Many other reviews seem to be whinging about price, not fresh ingredients and birds. Not sure what people expect on an island, everything must be shipped in and staff have to stay overnight and yes, there are birds in a wildlife resort. Pretty comparable proces to brisbane restaurants and its beachfront. If you're on a budget one plate plus rice is plenty to feed two.

Awesome food! ❤ large meals! Definitely worth it!

We ate here twice while at Tangalooma Island Resort. We tried both the Chinese and Vietnamese cuisines. Both were excellently cooked, and the serving sizes were very generous. My favorite dishes were the corn soup and green curry.
