Going back in time! Love every aspect of it . We enjoyed a great Saturday afternoon flick accompanied by delicious homemade soup, treats, and even homemade choc tops from a snack bar. A wonderful time out. Enjoyed by all!

Harks back to a gentler era but the vision and sound is top notch. This feels like home to us and we love coming here for the stunning array of films and treats (such as homemade soup in winter). Curated magnificently by the owners.
Agree with many other reviews. We are privileged that this exquisite cinema exists. Nothing matches Mt Vic Flicks.

Awesome place for nostalgia. Movies like they used to be. Great home made soup on offer too. A must, and great when the weather is poorly.

During our one week stay in Mt Vic, we had such a wonderful time visiting this cinema. We visited twice and we were able to pre-book our seats which was awesome. For what is a small cinema, the screen is huge and has excellent sound. We especially loved the homemade choc tops. Definitely worth a visit at least once if you're in the mountains - if we were locals, we'd join their loyalty programme which gives discounts on tickets ($11 vs. $13) and discounts at the snack bar. This is a family owned and operated business, isn't expensive and is the first time we've been to a movie in a cinema in maybe 5 years. We will definitely visit again if we are in the mountains for a few days.

An excellent movie theatre that has been placed inside the former Mount Victoria town hall. Easy location to access. Cafe located inside the hall. Great prices. Wonderful picture and sound. Excellent atmosphere. Wheelchair accessible. Plenty of places to park. Not far from the CBD and train station.

Mount Vic Flicks is a must have experience. Step back in time to the 1930’s in this nostalgic cinema, but with the comforts of heating and cooling. This independent family run business show local and international movies. There’s a terrific old-fashioned snack bar with the usual chock tops and warm popcorn, but the hot homemade vegetarian soup is the best and a must have during those cooler winter months. There’s wheelchair access, toilets, and parking. We’re so lucky to have the privileged to experience this historic Blue Mountains icon and need the public to continue supporting this cinema for future generations to enjoy.

I love this place, lots of character.
A touch of class.
Will take you back in time.
I didn't think time travel was possible.

Fabulous and friendly cinema. We are so glad we made the journey by train to Mount Vic so that we could watch a
Film here. The hatch serves home made treats as well as beers, wine etc to really made your visit a bit special. The owner really made us feel welcome and made sure got exactly the seats we wanted. We hope we can come back one day. Highly recommended!

My favourite place in the Blue Mountains! A friendly family owned cinema with super, old world charm. Step back in time to what these beautiful cinemas were like in their heyday. The most affordable tea and coffee, popcorn, drinks and snacks. Even delicious soup in cooler weather. Love it!
They feature alternative and Arthouse films with the occasional (curated) worthy new releases. If you are staying in the mountains, DON’T miss this rare treat!

This was the most exquisite experience. Beautiful theatre with the most beautiful caretakers of the venue. Please go visit this little gem. I’ll never step foot in a commercial movie theater again 🫶🏼

Great choc top. It is a lovely old theatre. You can't help feel a little nostalgic when you watch a film here. I love it.

A charming cinema, built as a Public Hall in 1938, and found in the tiny town of Mount Victoria. The cinema is nostalgic but unpretentious. The candy bar sits in a corner to the side of the screen, serving homemade snacks and a soup you can sip on as you enjoy the movie. Tea and coffee is served in Nanna mugs and popcorn costs less than 4 bucks. I'm glad this cinema exists and I hope some of y'all seek it out for a slightly more warm cinematic experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Rocky Horror Picture Show night with a complimentary props goodie bag to encourage audience participation. There was a fashion show for audience members who dressed up in theme, and possibly the best introductory live performance by the cinema host I've seen for such an event. An amazing night was had by all. Great community feel, exceptional service and a quality cinema experience.

Genuinely the best Cinema that I have ever been to, they have more comfy seats than any modern cinema, the snack shop is great and probably the only place where you can get home made soup and a cup of tea in a china mug! The hand dipped choc-tops are also a amazing cinema staple! They also won the award for The Best Regional Cinema in Australia in 2018, so if that's not a reason to go I don't know what is! They screen everything, from Marvel and Disney movies, to local Indie films, although screenings of the largest productions is limited (licensing is expensive!). Getting there is a breeze by public transport, with it only being a short walk from Mt Victoria station, which is served by trains late into the night. Overall, Mt Vic Flicks is amazing, and I thank Adam and Kirsten for their years of flim-screening service to the Upper Mountains!

Nice atmospheric early 20th century building. Upgraded cinema with a clear panoramic screen and Dolby Surround sound. Snack bar serves the usual movie treats plus coffee, tea and cake (we had a lovely Victorian Sponge 🎂 Cake).
In winter there is even soup service.
Consider watching a double for $20 with free hot drink.

Great movies, always new releases , sometimes ecclectic themes. Terrific atmosphere. Welcoming hosts/proprietors. And Choc tops for a treat. We are monthly customers at a minimum. Long may Mt. Vic Flicks be open.
