Beautiful local theatre, with old-world charm. Shows arthouse and mainstream movies, as well as featuring international film festivals. Great snack bar, with all the traditional treats.... choc tops and popcorn. Enjoy a tipple before the show at the bar. Go local and support an independent cinema.

Sound is so much better than I remember. Bar is fabulous. Setting is just gorgeous. Staff were super friendly. So nice to be somewhere cosy and elegant. Loved it. 😍

Modern with good screens, sound and comfort. Thankfully it's kept it's art house features and feel. Incorporating it's renovations while retaining the buildings charm.

Beautiful old cinema, ideal spot with a tonne of nice wine bars and eats within walking distance. Pretty well stocked bar, become a member of palace and it pays for itself in the first visit!

One of the best movie theatres around. Just went to watch Deadpool 2 today. In theatre 3. Intimate and beautiful.

The whole place is like stepping back in time yet it uses the best technology to enjoy the movies.

Very helpful staff. A good place to sample The Spanish Film Festival and sip on a coffee between films.

Nice old style cinema. Lifts and ramps for wheelchair access.
Only one aisle of stairs in the cinema, so you're pushing past a lot of patrons to get to our seat in some cinemas.
Good popcorn and icecreams and choc tops, though out of stock in at least 50% of flavours.

This place has been a cinema and loved by the community for as long as I can remember as we used to come here with my family when I was 5yo. The furniture and cinema seating must be the same or very similar to those I sat on many years ago. This old school feel gives the cinema character. There are many positives about this retro icon of Westgarth with its eclectic decor and a warm and inviting atmosphere. International film festivals are celebrated and art house films are regularly featured here. Come here for an enjoyable experience as well as watch movies that are not offered at the mainstream cinema houses.

What a gorgeous cinema! Had no idea it was here, so glad we happened on it. The main theatre is so lovely with its old traditional decor on the walls and ceiling. Old world feel with the comfort of comfy chairs.

Relaxing ambience, excellent film ' One love; Nice staff.

Tickets are of great value. Theatre rooms are perfect sizes small to medium. Felt like a private screening. Will definitely be back with my kids.

Charming old-style/ vintage cinema and always a joy to catch a movie. Bar and snacks menu is decent.

Note: Bar closed 9pm, so if you're at a late show then get all your drinks/ snacks by then.
