American Express Openair Cinemas - St Kilda

(Said with Scottish accent (or Irish if you cant do the Scottish accent.))
The open air movies in St Kilda that have been set up on the foreshore near the St Kilda marina are excellent. The space here is open wasted and barely used for productive purposes. Its great to see the council finally using this space for something the locals can go and use and something out of the ordinary.
I just hope this space on the foreshore where the movies have been set up is again utilised in the coming years and even all the way through to April.
I give them 5 star
from LENNY (champion kite surfer) and resident of Ormond (close enough to St Kilda to be a local.

Very entertaining ambient

The drumming circle nearby sort of ruined it.

Seats are a tad uncomfortable, because they are on a slight hill you feel like you lean forward. Movie is a novel experience outside. It poured down with rain which added to the experience, getting soaked while watching a movie, tick that off the bucket list... We bought a package which included food, drink and ice cream, all are ok.

Very average

Doesn’t even come close to the moonlight cinema in the botanical gardens. Same price but in the botanical gardens you can bring your own beer/wine, bean bags are more comfortable, screen is bigger, surroundings are better. When we went to the American Express openair cinema earlier this week some of the grass was too muddy so they had moved all the seats to the side. View wasn’t great from there!

Quite poor experience, rude stuff. And If you are not a AmEx card holder you won’t get a good sit. Also if it rains you don’t get refunded, you can watch movie you don’t care about :)
