The Deck @ Sea Salt

I’m really amazed at some of the reviews on The Deck, as my experience dining here (over 20 times now) has been just fabulous!

Their food is always wonderful, gold-standard and clearly made with love and care. The best fish and chips I’ve ever had (for real, just try it - there is some sort of magic in the side salad)!

Some people who dine here treat the staff so disrespectfully, but they always have a smile and professional attitude.

We don’t even bother buying groceries when we come visit Rainbow anymore. We just come to The Deck (mostly) and the Surf Club.

We are so grateful to the staff here for your hospitality and for allowing us to dine here so frequently when we’re in town, we love The Deck!

Best seafood share platter I've tried. Absolutely heavenly and mouth-watering. The octopus was very tasty. Highly recommend this place. Cocktails are also very delicious and go down a treat. Staff are wonderful and more than accommodating. Will definitely be back again. 💯❤👌

We had dinner here on a Saturday night and it had a great vibe. It was difficult to get a table but we found one in the end. The food was amazing, cocktails were good, service was fast, and the location is beautiful. It's opposite the beach so you'll get a nice beach view if you're there during the day.

The Chili Crab Scrambled Eggs for breakfast were incredible! Must try. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Rainbow Beach. Coffee was on point too!

Read a few bad reviews on The Deck, but as the majority were good we tried it out.

At the time it was rated 4 star on here but to be honest it should be 5 star.

We both had the Chicken, (Naked Parmy) Special at $15 each, took about 15 mins to come out but this was 1pm and it was rammed we could see the food was coming out all the time and the staff working hard.

Such a nice location, open sides, great views - the time went in no time, food was served piping hot salad was exceptional and decent portion chips.

Spot on, great service, great food.

Super chilled out place, order at the bar & get a table number job. Loved the fact you could pay 5$ for a mystery beer in a brown bag.

The food was decent. We had the crab omelette and the savoury mince as popped in for brunch. Partner said the omelette would’ve actually been nicer with no fish as the flavours weren’t too seamless on the tongue. The savoury mince was tasty: imagine spag bol bar the spag and add some sourdough with salad. Coffees were good too and nice use of a free water station.

Great little spot for overlooking the street / rainbow beach. The venue is pretty big all in all, with a beer garden in the lower area too. Wasn’t busy when we visited but can imagine it does get quite.

Prices average.

Amazing food. Ordered the oysters, cauliflower wings and octopus. The service and food were delicious! They also have a very good selection on tap! Oysters were so fresh. Good spot too, ocean views.

Tapas is delicious and the staff are super friendly!! We were here a couple of years ago and it was great then too!

Coffee was great. Jordan our waitress was lovely. The view was spectacular. Premises was clean n tidy and we loved the country music that was playing.

Great spot for brunch - crab omelette was outstanding - good amount of chilli. Big screen TV and craft beer on tap!

Great food. Rib eye steak was amazing. Drinks and food is well priced.
The only issue that I could see was the ordering line is done at the end of the bar where the kitchen, toilets and bar entry is. Gets pretty hectic when it’s busy.

We loved a relaxing lunch at The Deck on Salt. Our meals were restaurant quality in a beautiful beachside venue

With three levels to enjoy, the garden area is the perfect place to enjoy a meal and drinks while accompanied by your furbaby 🐶

The bar level is accessed by stairs or a lift and offers indoor dining, while the deck allows great views of the ocean with a rooftop vibe

Plenty of nearby parking, an excellent menu and friendly staff 🏆

Highly recommended to visitors and locals alike 👍

Six of us for dinner tonight Thursday 22nd August 2019.
All of us on holidays. The Deck was a perfect choice. 3 wanted Tapas and 3 wanted Meals.
The tapas came out it all looked fantastic, those 3 very happy indeed. We should of told them we want all the meals together. Unfortunately the 3 mains came out after the other 3 had finished. So we watched them eat and then they watched us eat. So maybe just
let the staff know if you are not all having tapas.
But the meals all very nice. Staff friendly and The Deck itself a nice spot for lunch or dinner, I have done both.

Great food! The breakfast are very generous , I will suggest that they add a bit of salt, or any other condiments to the avocado, since it was plain, but other than that I will recommend it. Dinner was nice as well, the ingredients were very fresh

Beautiful food, great stop before setting off on K'gari adventures.
Cocktails were insanely good, 100% recommend the Pina colada. The crab pasta was beautiful, good portion and the road kill came with a very complimentary sauce.

Yum. Really yum. We went as a group for dinner up on the top deck and had a fantastic meal for reasonable prices. We tried a different place for dinner the next night and regretted that choice so went back to the Deck for breakfast and made up for it with an awesome and tasty bacon and egg burger. Would definitely go back to the Deck.

Lovely restaurant with a very pretty view. Food was great & service was fab !

Came here for breakfast on a mid week holiday. Ordered the big breakfast which I thought was a bit pricey at $30. I was however excited and overwhelmed to see a big plate full of delicious food. Much bigger than I had anticipated.
The workers were bubbly and happy and we had an enjoyable breakfast!

First time here today and it will not be the last, travelled down from Hervey Bay with wife and relos to have lunch and everyone left saying the same thing, food was excellent, service was great , views are unreal and the prices were very reasonable for a touristy place / location, thank you very much to the 2 friendly ladies that served us. 10/10

Food was delicious, oysters we had was very fresh and the octopus was very delicious. Staff was really friendly and atmosphere was great with live band playing. Had an enjoyable afternoon. Would highly recommend.
