J & B's Gourmet Cafe

Fab cafe, lots of options for all day. I had the Gourmet egg & bacon roll. Fresh bread roll was a win for me. Loved the look of their sandwich salad bar, looked so fresh! Great indoor/outdoor seating options.

We have just completed a lap of Australia and I can say with confidence that this was the absolute best steak sanga I've had in our two years on the road...
The steak was hanging out each side of the large bun, perfectly cooked, top quality and beautifully tender with no gristly bits.
The egg was just set and the and the lettuce was butter lettuce not iceberg - just perfect.
Big, juicy, streaky and just mouthful after mouthful of deliciousness... Not only that but it was only $18. I've paid nearly twice that much for half as good.
I cannot rate this Cafe highly enough...

Came here for some breakfast and coffee.

The food was simply incredibly. Beautifully cooked and displayed on the plate. The hash browns were crispy and fresh and divine. The tomatoes were cooked perfectly and slightly caramelised for that perfect sweetness and umami. The spinach was tender and soft and amazingly seasoned. The scrambled eggs were cooked just right and had the perfect amount of seasoning. Altogether the breakfast dish was perfect and so good!

My companions had eggs on toast and crossaint with jam. The eggs were cooked perfectly sunny side up and the bread was toasted till crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The jam was delicious and refreshing and the crossaint was flaky and tender.

The service here goes above and beyond to make sure your time here is amazing. They're very welcoming and friendly and knowledgeable.

The coffees and drinks were extremely well made and perfectly hot and yummy.

The ambience is earthy and warm and welcoming. Wood and bricks everywhere. The seating is comfortable and the space is very spacious. It's actually quite large and plenty of seating to choose from. We loved the couches near the wood fireplace. What a great and cosy experience it is to drink coffee in this corner.

Overall we were extremely impressed and happy with the fresh delicious breakfast and the hot coffees and the yummy pastries and amazing service. You should definitely give this place a visit!

Great Steak Burger, Plain and hot chips with chicken salt. Lamb wrap was a bit on the salty side, Get the plain burger.

Very surprising stop over - we both had different salads which were exceptional. Large seating area inside as well as tables outside and at the front. Toilets at rear. Had a take away coffee which was great and the staff were attentive and friendly.

Always stop here on my way through. Excellent coffee and food, very nice staff and lovely courtyard area to enjoy it all.

Great fish/squid and chips. They were really busy, but we didn't have to wait long.

We stopped here on our way to Canberra. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly man on the coffee machine. The ordering was seamless, lots of different food on display in the cabinet.
We had a chicken caesar salad and a fish wrap. They were both really lovely and fresh. The coffee was really good too, that's very important for Melbournians 🤣

I liked this little cute cafe. I had lunch in the courtyard and it was so peaceful. I ordered a Caesar salad and almond cappuccino! Staff was adorable and helped me find free wifi nearby so I could take my work calls.

Stopped in for a late lunch today, and the shake and pulled pork burger were both delicious and filling. Staff were friendly and service was prompt, will definitely stop here next time I’m in the region.

We stopped in Holbrook on our way back to Melbourne from Malua Bay. Wow best sandwich I have had in a long time. The service was great and the food was fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this Cafe.

We ordered the big breakfast and shared with each other(2 people). The meal is good and the shop is really cute. I like the decorations for Christmas especially the corner.

Divine salads, huge meals. Fresh and tasty, and really beautiful old cafe. Definitely worth the stop in.

Staff were lovely, coffees were great, pricing was great & those focaccias were delicious! My partner got the original (chicken) & I got the Mediterranean & we were both very happy with our meals! Definitely a great stop on our drive from Melbourne to Sydney.
