Lady Gails Bookshop & Curios

My wife and I stopped at this quaint and quirky store on our way back home from Albury. Packed to the rafters with books and all manner of nick-nacks it was a delightful way to spend 15 minutes. Lady Gail was a delight.

Anyone who has a favourite author (or 2!) would find at least one of their books on these shelves, such an assortment of books, more than I have ever seen in the 1 shop. Gail is such an entertaining character & her knowledge of the local area is amazing. She is a great storyteller & loves a chat. Do yourself a favour & divert thru Holbrook, support the locals, pop in & say hello to Gail & Elizabeth.
Be sure to ask Gail about her favourite knock knock joke. 😂😂🙋

My goodness, do not drive past this shop, an adventure in itself. Found a book I have been looking for 'The Floating Brothel' my ancestor was on that ship, very interesting. Owner a delightful person, very helpful and so knowledgable. Not just books, so many things to see, great place. Enjoyed this experience, and that is what it is, an experience. 👍😊👍

Today was my second visit and Gail was able to introduce to new authors. She also had copies of favourite books from the 1980s. Definitely worth the journey

Bought some westerns cheap. Yayyy Be prepared to get lost in here there is a lot of books and things to look at. The lady in there was very friendly and up for a chat.

A fantastic shop which reminds me of the Tardis, much bigger on the inside.
The day I visited with my children, we restrained our purchases to CDs, books and a few curios. I could have easily left with a lot more as there's something for everybody in this shop.

A really enjoyable place to trawl. Staff are nice and friendly. They have a cat (who lets you pet). They are cash only so make sure you have some as you are certain to find something here :)

Most beautifully set out and the choicest of curios and books. Sadly we weren't carrying any cash and so couldn't buy anything. But there were tubs of table cloths and runners and lampshades and walking sticks and cutlery and everything you could possibly want. If you are driving down the Hume Highway you would be smart to take the diversion into Holbrook and take a break surfing through this splendid shop

Fascinating shop. So many books. We found some murder mystery books that we had not been able to find elsewhere.

It was very nice experience exploring this shop. There is quite a bit to cover if you like books. So make sure you spend some time here.

This has a buy and swap book section that stocks an enormous selection of books. They buy and sell second hand small goods and trinkets in this area as well. In the other section there is a large choice of beautiful crafts and trinkets to buy. A delightful friendly little shop.

What an unexpected treasure chest! Guaranteed to walk out with something. Gail is lovely and so helpful. Definitely don’t look past visiting this shop.

our grand kids had the most fun spending their money and hubby was looking at the records and I love books. So their was something for each of us. Awesome friendly service and looking forward to going back

A place to find unexpected oddities amongst columns of books. It is clear this shop is owned by some one with a great passion for good books. Terrific book selection, even though a bit dusty.

Incredible range of curios, antiques,collectables,odds & sods, bits & pieces,bris a brac etc etc.
Just quite unbelievable.
