We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It is not just a single zip line experience. The local fauna and flora make the entire activity much more rewarding. The staff provide friendly and in-depth information about the plants and wildlife.

The views of both Finch Hatton ranges and the canopy below make you want to stay longer.

This is a great opportunity to see the best of the forest from a truly unique experience.

The various zip line options cater to the confidence levels of people of all backgrounds and experiences.

You can see the time and effort that the owners have put into this tourism spot for the benefit of locals and tourists alike. As a qualified rigger, I can see that the equipment, footings, and mounts all exceed Australian Standards to ensure everyone is kept safe and secure.

We highly recommend you take your family and friends out for a morning or afternoon session. You will need a few hours, depending on the size of your group.
You can fill out the rest of your day by going to the nearby Finch Hatton Gorge or stop at the Pinnacle Family Hotel for lunch.

Overall Forest Flying is a great time out and a must see while in the area. We will be back with our friends

Thank you for a wonderful experience

Dave and Donna are helpful and friendly right from the time of enquiry to the actual activity. There are 4 ziplines and it's an amazing experience. Please note that after the 2nd zipline, there's a bit of a walk uphill to get to the longest zipline that they offer 230m long, 15m high from the ground. It's a narrow path, and wearing good grip shoes is a must. Supervision of young children is a must as one has to walk wearing the harness.

Dave also provides lots of information on the plants and vegetation growing there.

Highly recommend it 👌

AMAZING!!! Astounding beauty, fun and informative! 4 zip lines with hand break so you can go fast or go slow and take in the surroundings. There were 3 water crossings on the way in not suitable for hire cars.

What a great experience! The couple who owns this did a great job!! I am not fond of heights and was nervous when I got there, but I felt safe the entire time. Absolutely beautiful and an experience I will always remember fondly!!

This was so much fun. The hosts tell you about some of the edible bush foods & point out the odd nasty to avoid if you go bushwalking later. Be prepared to climb some stairs but the thrill of the zip line is amazing. The hut you start from is hidden from view. See the rainforest in all its splender.

We had an awesome time today with the hosts, Dave & Donna who were only to happy to explain the rainforest's vegetation after each zip line. Extremely safe at all times, we found the experience exhilarating and educational throughout our time there. Highly recommend.

The owners are amazing and very welcoming. They also give you a quick guide on flora and fauna on your trip to the zip!

Was an excellent experience, great views of the rainforest in the most spectacular way. Shared a lot of interesting knowledge of the local plants and wildlife. Owners were very friendly and professional, made even those with a fear of heights feel comfortable on the zip line. They also went above and beyond to help us when we had car troubles when we were leaving. Can 100% recommend

My partner and I booked at the last minute and Donna and David were very accommodating. This little haven within the rainforest is a fun way to get acquainted with this tropical paradise. Our hosts were very knowledgeable as well and provided an interesting background as we climbed their stony staircase. The ziplines were operated safely and with great ease. This was clearly a family owned business, with all the perks and attention to detail which come with it. Highly recommended to anyone willing to venture inland and escape the sea breeze and plunge into a completely different, but magical world.

The place was easy to find despite loss of service. That said the only thing I would recommend is bring a camera with a strap which can be attached on your person!

The forest flying experience was amazing and Donna and David were very friendly and very good hosts. There was a brief training session, an informative walk up to the starting point and lots of fun zipping over the rainforest.

As volunteer wildlife rescuers with speciality interests in macro and microbats, my wife and I were delighted to meet a couple who have been custodians for a bat camp that is verified as an anomaly for the most northern, known camp and foraging area for the grey headed flying fox. Some customers might be fearful or cautions of health and safety issues when they become aware that the zip lines go through the long established and temporary camps for four species of flying foxes - little reds, blacks, grey-headed, and an occasional spectacled flying fox. Cross breeding has been observed by the operators of Forest Flying. Seperate from my personal assurances, their knowledge of the forest, wild foods, biodiversity, ecology and the different species of bats on their property will have customers enlightened, educated and empowered to spread the positive aspects of bats and the thrill of some really good short and long zip lines for an area that is also known as being the only place in the world to scuba dive with aquatic life that includes platypus. It is possible to seek a package deal for accommodation and both rainforest experiences as the businesses work in harmony with each other.

We went to Forest Flying for the experience of taking the zip line through the rainforest. We both loved it. There is a practice line and then two lines through different scenes. Also, the owners are very much in touch with the area and the land, pointing out different plants and even gave us some fresh tumeric that they grow, which we have really enjoyed. The first line goes through the rainforest and has a stream running below. The second line goes through more forest and you can see a colony of flying foxes up close. We were encouraged to take our time, which we did, using the brake to slow down or stop and look at different things. All in all, a great experience, and we also appreciated information on Finch Hatton Gorge, where we went afterwards for a lovely walk and swim at Araluen Cascade.
