Hugh was closing the museum, but opened it to allow us to look around, all of the exhibits have been given by locals, and well worth a visit

I was totally blown away by this place. Sooooo much stuff fills every room. A truly incredible collection that deposits you into the past in such a beautiful way. The people that volunteer here are really lovely and take the time to chat and tell stories.
Take the time to really enjoy this place.

A shame I arrived on knock off time. I didn’t get a chance to have a good look. I recon it’ll take hours to go through. All run by volunteers. If I get another chance to come back that way I’ll definitely stop in.

Fabulous way to stretch the legs and so many artefacts to take in. Inside and outside there’s something for everyone - and the kids can roam free in the garden. Some of the stuff gives Sovereign Hill a run for its money (the bakery and school house) and don’t forget to open the door on the outhouse 😂. Real history here. Definitely worth a stop on the Hume.
