Alexander Cameron Suites

I was recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Comfortable room, friendly and informative greeting by Paul, in-room complimentary continental breakfast, nice pub a stones throw from the suites, large bathroom and all within close proximity to some brilliant wineries… Will have to come back with friends and family!

This time is the second time we are staying here. Really great location, walking distance to a few cellardoors, pubs and restaurants. Just a short drive to a lot of wineries in the region. Rooms are tidy and clean and great sizes. The owners of the suite are super lovely. We will definitely be back staying here again!

Paul was pleasant to talk to on the phone when booking for 1 night stay for 3 people. Upon arrival Paul explain to us where to find restaurants and church of Saint Mary MacKillop. The room is spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. Continental breakfast was included which was a great bonus. Me and my 2 sisters were happy we stayed in Alexander Cameron Suites. We highly recommend the place to anyone.

Great location, walking distance to shops, cafe's and pubs. The motel host's were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent stay, pleasant hosts and walking distance from Pipers of Penola, probably one of the best restaurants in the area.

Fantastic place to stay, comfortable beds, nice furnishings. Complimentary breakfast included in your stay is more than sufficient. Stay 2 nights and you get a complimentary bottle of wine. Nothing to complain about here. Proprietor was very friendly and gave us good directions for our further journey.
Wine region is also amazing.
Do yourself a favour and stay here!

My wife & I have had two stays at Alexander Cameron Suites over the last couple of months, staying 5 night over Christmas and 4 nights late January. Paul & Tanya were wonderful hosts and the rooms are brilliant, very spacious with all the comforts of home. The kitchenette was a real bonus for a motel room and a huge bathroom. The continental breakfast was very generous. Comfortable bed and big screen TV with Netflix & utube. Everything you might need for a perfect stay has been provided. Then when you step outside the surrounds are beautiful, with a lovely big walnut tree, plenty of outdoor seating, a huge grassed area and a supermarket right next door, then to top it off it's only a two minute walk to the pub, bakery, cafes and shops.
In case you hadn't guessed by now, we couldn't recommend this establishment highly enough.

We had a lovely stay of three nights. Spacious room, clean, great continental breakfast that we enjoyed. Short walk into town for morning coffee and retail therapy. Tania is so friendly and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble to ensure we were happy and comfortable. Felt we were leaving a friend behind when we left this morning. Shall be rebooking when we return next month.

There is nothing that can be faulted with this beautiful motel. Tania and Paul went above and beyond for us, they even acted as witnesses for our quick marriage ceremony on the gorgeous courtyard lawn area of the motel. The king suite is superb, really comfortable and has all you need. We can’t recommended this motel more highly, it was a pleasure to stay here. Hopefully we’ll be back one day!

We stopped here on a long and winding road trip from Adelaide to Melbourne. The motel is lovely. The room was large, warm and inviting and spotlessly clean. The owner had turned the heating on for us and that was much appreciated on such a cold night. He was friendly and helpful and full of tips for where to eat and where to visit. The price included breakfast, which was a range of toast and spreads, yoghurt, cereal, fruit juice, tea and coffee. The room is well equipped with toaster, microwave and full range of crockery and cutlery. Would definitely recommend and would visit again. The town is a quaint well maintained country town, only a tiny stroll away.

Extremely clean, comfortable, spacious accommodation. The breakfast provided was generous - bread for toast, cereal, yoghurt, juice, and having plunger coffee made it perfect. Great location in the Main Street of Penola and very quiet. The main grass area was a great place to look onto and enjoy my morning coffee!

My husband recently stayed here on business and said it was super. The staff were friendly and hospitable; the rooms were spacious, comfortable with a large TV, and well heated; The breakfast basket was above and beyond with everything you could want including plunger coffee. And it was 100 metres from the local hotel. He will definitely stay there next time. Thanks for the great service.

After a long drive it was so nice to discover a clean and generous room to rest. Moreover, the hosts (and owners) hospitality was attentive and professional, combined with typical country charm. Finally, the continental breakfast is a real bonus to start the day! Thanks for having us.

Rooms are large, CLEAN, friendly staff, daily housekeeping with breakfast items restocked each day. Large grass picnic space to have a few drinks at the end of the day. Definitely returning as an excellent destination or stay over.

My wife Maree, and I found Tania and Paul to be excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the cottage and it was very comfortable, with plenty of room. The large shower was a treat and the kitchen was highly functional. The cottage delivered an abundance of natural light and night time was peaceful, so good sleeps were enjoyed. We were next door to IGA and a short stroll to the Royal Oak Hotel, bakery and cafes. Maree and I certainly intend returning. Book well in advance and book direct. Thank you Tania and Paul! :)

What a lovely place to stay! Beautiful room, continental breakfast was great. Thankyou for a wonderful stay in such an iconic town.

We (3 couples)stayed here over the (Victorian Labour Day) long weekend from 10th to 12th March 2018 and found the accommodation very good. It was well priced and the room was very clean, good sized and well equipped.
It was a nice touch to have a continental breakfast provided in our room.
The grounds were well maintained and tidy with good amenities (bbq etc.)
The managers (Sue and Ralph) were wonderfully warm and accommodating. We felt like we were family!
Keep up the good work. Highly recommended !
