Ricky's Chicken Rice @North Adelaide

Absolutely thrilled with my experience at this North Adelaide gem! I was delighted by the authenticity of their chicken rice, char koay teow, and laksa. Each dish burst with flavour. Definitely a MUST try!! 👍🏼👍🏼

Ricky's always has great food with reasonable prices for a generous set meal of crunchy fried chicken, rice, vegetables, and soup topped off with a fried egg! Not to mention the big range of homemade drinks they offer.

But what caught us today was their great customer service as they accommodated us with our little dogs even as the tables outside were full, going as far to physically bring out another table. Even more, the staff were considerate of us and took our order at the table so we didn't have to leave our dogs outside.

Ricky's Chicken Rice @North Adelaide is my favorite place to grab a delicious and satisfying meal! The food is always fresh and hits the spot. It's hard to choose just one dish, but their laksa and fried rice are the absolute best! The service was friendly and efficient, making the entire dining experience enjoyable. I highly recommend checking them out!

The best Hoinan chicken rice you can find in Adelaide! Loved that they offer different combinations to go with the meal, eg steamed or fried chicken, rice or noodles and choices of chicken portion. Also, we’ll never have enough of the hk style iced lemon tea. Yum!

Have had dinner here a few times now and I must say that I just love their food and service.

My favourite orders would be the tossed noodles and the noodle soup with chicken breast. The flavour of their food tastes so simple but just perfect.

I also find the staff here to be nice and friendly. They always seem so happy to assist customers and so patient when you take quite a while to decide on your order.

Will keep coming back here.

Went there last Friday, The chicken rice is really amazing, and the sauce for chicken is right on spot. Tom Yam soup is also worth a try. Took a while for my order to be ready, around 15-20 min? But consider it was Friday night. I will give it a pass

I would definitely come back, it was our last dinner before heading to the airport, we absolutely enjoyed the food!
The place itself is clean and tidy.
The menus are ok too, they use folders to put their menu and I expected the folders would be a bit sticky, but they were ok! Cleanliness 9/10
Didnt check the toilet though.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for laksa or hainan chicken.

I am a huge fan of this place. Possibly the best chicken rice I've had in Adelaide. Although pictured is not chicken rice but tossed chicken noodles, the quality of the food is top notch and reasonably priced! Highly reccomend

Ricky’s is a welcome change to north Adelaide - affordable, rustic and something different. The food is wholesome and tasty with the added benefit of being able to sit outside. Friendly service and one of the blokes was particularly interested in the time that we had spent in Korea - lovely evening

Nice place a lot more expensive than other similar places. Good food friendly service but a little lacking. Not much atmosphere at all quite clinical. Overall I probably wouldn't go back as it was quit a bit more expensive in comparison.

Been coming here every now and then over last few years, ordered a seafood laksa today , service was warm on point , and the seafood laksa I ordered was on point , full loaded tasty, broth perfect , happy customer :)

Legit singapore/malaysian food if you’re craving for one. It was busy when we came but worth the wait and the service was good. Will definitely be coming back

Wholesome flavours, amazing laksa and very juicy chicken.

Chicken rice had an authentic taste, and portions are very filling as well. $17 for the below plate which came with a side of soup, fried egg, and bok choy. Mostly boneless so was easy to eat. Choice between leg meat or breast meat was great too.

However, chilli was abit too sweet for my liking (when compared to chicken rice in Singapore)

I have tried a lot of chicken rice places in Adelaide but this place beats them all! I love the green sauce and everything is perfect! We come nearly every Friday for dinner! The laksa is also the best we have tried in Adelaide, it has a very strong flavor while some other places can be very watery. The staff are super friendly as well!

Good service and the chicken soup has lots of flavour. There are a few types of noodles to choose from. Nice to have this in a cold day.
