Waratah Falls

This is amazing! A stunning waterfall right in the centre of town! No walking required. We parked at the Bischoff Hotel and walked across the road for an awesome view of the falls. You can also go to the other side and park in the carpark and walk down for a better view.

Lovely small town steeped in mining history, fantasic view of the majestic waterfall in the town centre. The pub is excellent for a beer and lunch. Well worth a visit.

Excellent country road trip to Waratah, easy to find, and a lovely Tasmanian country town. Lots of amazing local history and excellent historical museums.
There is a fenced off paddock near the Falls, but the best viewing is very limited. You're better off driving a few hundred meters up the road to the viewing area opposite the local Pub. The view, although distant, is spectacular.

Nice waterfall in a cute small village of waratah you can get food and drinks from the local petrol station and the falls can be viewed from above just across the road from the Bischoff hotel nice place for pub grub and a drink the hotel also has accomodation also you can do a short walk down to the bottom of the falls definitely worth it.

Wonderful little town that we stopped at for breakfast before heading to cradle mountain friendly people everywhere and the local pub was nice.

Worthy of a look, it's a good walk to get down to to the fall we went to, be careful as it is quite steep and if you're not sure footed could lead to a slip.

Great scenery though.

This is an AMAZING site to see. So beautiful the landscape. Imagine waking up everyday to this beautiful view.

Way too easy to see these - just pull up in your car.
Definitely worth the walk to the bottom of these falls - the different aspect gives a completely different feel for the falls.
In full flow they would be amazingly powerful

Greatvfalls with a new lower viewing platform as well. So nice to have them in the middle of town.

Philosophers Falls walk outstanding so much fungus all colours and forms beautiful!!
