Thanks, ladies, for the exceptional service and delicious food! It really doesn't matter what you pick off the menu it is made with care and tastes so good!! I appreciate the chats, too. These ladies have great senses of humour and are just nice people who go above and beyond my expectations every single time. Imagine working 7 days a week and still being able to do such a good job! Thanks again

We pulled into Waratah Roadhouse after completing the Western Explorer and exiting the forest. Fuelled up our vehicle and chatted with the lovely staff. A quaint service station, with old school charm and customer service. The whole town has great amenities for travelers.

If there are lovelier, friendlier more grateful cafe/roadhouse staff/owners in Australia, they've met their match. These two ladies are phenomenol. But that's not the best bit. The BEST bit is the coffee. Life's too short to drink bad coffee and here it is superb. I was glad I got a double shot small, but it was exceptionally good. Then we come to the food. THE BEST steak sandwich I've ever eaten. The steak juicy and melt in the mouth, and with the lot.....game over. The hamburger with the lot was also delicious with the home made patty. Did I mention the coffee? Yea, but it's worth reinforcing how good it was. But wait ,there's more....driveway service, and in the middle of nowhere. Fuel was a bit dearer than the larger places, but they're miles away. I'd drive here just for the tucker, it's that good. I forgot the general store shelves. If there's something you want that's not here, you really don't need it.

Amazing food and staff that constantly cop bulling from certain fly by groups. Amazing food coffee and convenience store that keeps the town going. Service with a smile everytime and also have time for anyone whom is of friendly nature for a chat😊 p.s we don't pee on the lawn so we have no problems 👍

Girls you both go above and beyond to keep this little town store running. Thanks girls we really appreciate everything you do.

Can't believe this other lot is reviewing you badly because you asked them not to pee on your building...I was there it was terrible behaviour. Sorry you even have to endure that in your place of work.

Fantastic local shop that caters to all. Great burgers, great pies and pastries and the best espresso in town since the Mushroom Cafe shut down.

Absolutely fantastic. The ladies inside were wonderful, kind and lovely to chat with. They cooked our lunch fresh and OMG it was delicious

Going back to Devonport from Queenstown and were desperately in need of fuel. We came at about 7pm (which they were closed then), we messaged their Facebook page and someone came to our rescue 5 minutes later! Thank god. Super grateful 💝

unplanned stop for a quick lunch, and they had a broader selection of hot food than expected (it is still a service station though). staff were very friendly

This place is run by two absolutely lovely and welcoming ladies who we ended up chatting to for ages! As mentioned in other reviews, the coffee here is to die for! Also got a bacon and egg roll for the road and it was hearty and delicious!

A great roadhouse!
Had an amazing egg and bacon roll for breakfast. The ladies behind the counter are lovely and welcoming. So, if you are around Waratah, make sure to stop over and also have a look for the waterfalls!

Great little road house got a couple of lamingtons that were really nice. The ladies behind the counter were also very friendly. Worth stopping in for a snack if you’re on passing through Waratah.

Wow .... Waratah Roadhouse punches way above it's weight. Great coffee, hot pies and lush bacon n egg sarnies. Another West Coast gem 👍👍👍👍👍

Fantastic coffee, home made sausage rolls. ($1) Home made soup. Clean and great service from two lovely friendly ladies.

The owners are the most friendliest people you will ever meet, they go out of there way for you and the chicken works burger is the best one iv had anywhere. Does not disappoint!!!

Came in just after a big group of bikers, staff were run off their feet taking orders but still gave us friendly service with a smile and our hot food went down a treat, reasonably priced and quick considering how busy it was. Thanks
