Moonrise Farm

I am delighted to share my positive experience with the accommodation and its stunning location. Our stay was nothing short of wonderful, and the property exceeded our expectations in every way. The accommodations were not only comfortable but also tastefully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The breathtaking surroundings added an extra layer of magic to our experience, providing a picturesque backdrop for our time there. The attention to detail in the amenities and the cleanliness of the space were noteworthy, making our stay truly enjoyable. From sunrise views to evening strolls, the location offered a perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility to nearby attractions. I wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation to others, and I look forward to returning to relish its charm once again.

Beautiful old world charm cottages ,fantastic spot right next to 2 wineries. Our dog Umi was welcomed , and had a great time running around the wide open spaces . We needed kindling for our fire and our host Ashe had someone over with it in 5 minutes .

We had a great time at this farm stay. Our little spoodle loved all the space and Ashe was very responsive. The beds were comfy and the location was perfect.

We had an amazing weekend at Moonrise Farm, the farmhouse was so nice.

The Moonrise farm has a cottage, a barn and a big farmhouse we were staying in. It is a really cosy place, but did not meet the expectations from the images. The farm has passed the best days and would really need some renovation. One bedroom is outside with separate entrance and only one toilet is inside the house. Everything is full of dust. Especially the carpets are really old and dirty. The kitchen is nice and big with most things a family needs. We had to buy a new coffee machine (which she payed partially), some glasses and bowls for cereals and a toilet brush. Ashe, the host communicates nicely, until it is about money issues. We got the impression that she is quite a money driven business woman. That's probably why needed investments are not done at the farm. We booked for three weeks and wanted to leave after two because of the Corona situation. I offered Ashe to share the last weeks costs. She declined and kept all the money. That surely is her right to do. For us, it fits into the picture. She also never offered us a dollar for all the stuff we had to buy. All in all we would not recommend staying at the moonrise farm. There are better places for less money around Margareth River.

The photos on the website is misleading as the actual cottage looks very aged and not been kept well nor clean. It is definitely not suitable for families with young children because the place is dusty and house is not heated properly. I had requested for a cot and highchair only to be informed cot was kept in the shed behind which we retrieve ourselves. It was so dusty as not been used for a long time and definitely not usable. Furthermore there was a strange man staying in the shed behind who had keys to storeroom but was clueless about everything. We definitely did not feel safe staying there with our baby. In the end I had no choice to forgo the money and staying at the cottage because it was just not suitable for our baby. It isn't really a farm as there was not a single animal in sight and the surroundings is more of a forest and a miserable lake. Warning for others so you don't end up making the same mistake as me

Don't waste your time. I booked and paid for this over 6 months in advance only to have the host try and charge me almost double a month out from our stay and then cancelling without notice leaving us with no other options for a big group to stay around this time. Extremely unreliable and disappointing.
