Helendale Boarding Kennels

I know Helen as a human being And if she treats her doggies with respect as she has me I will give her 5/+++++.She's a good sort.

I left my seven month old German Shepherd boy with Helen. It was his first time away from me, away from home and crated (two adjoining cages) I was nervous but Helen was very re-assuring and helpful and very easy-going. When I got back from my stress free appointments, my dog was pleased to see me but ok and I was able to take a tour of Helendale with Helen and meet her other dogs. She has lots of beautiful tall pine trees and her place is like a dog-lover's dream. When we got back to our farm, my pup went and waited by the gate - he wanted to go back to Helendale! I think that's a recommendation from him as well.

We have been using Helendale Kennels for about 4 years now. We originally had two Shiba Inu dogs and now only one. We have never had an issue. The owner is very friendly and attentive to our dog's needs. This is NOT the Ritz, but most dogs do not need it. They have shelter, shade and company with a decent sized space for individual day play. Gates between day runs also allow for interraction with other dogs if deemed appropriate. You need to look at value for money and this place certainly meets those requirements. Each time we have taken our dog or dogs in they have been very happy to stay and been looked after well. I would much rather bring my dog here than somewhere that looks great and costs a fortune, but no one really cares about the dogs. Been there, done that!!

Very accomadating.

This was horrible.
The runs are all dirt. The sleeping cages are not protected. She said my dog barked all the time, which he never does, even at other kennels. I will not use this again and do not recommend it.
I provided my own food.
