This beach rental was well-equipped with a range of amenities that made the stay even more enjoyable. Apart from the fantastic wood-fired hot tub, which was a highlight, the home had a fully stocked kitchen with modern appliances, making it convenient for cooking meals. The cozy living area was perfect for relaxation, and the bedrooms were comfortable and clean. Additionally, the remote location provided a sense of tranquility and privacy, which was a significant amenity in itself, allowing for a truly peaceful and serene escape by the beach.

Sandcastle House was beautifully decorated and sparkling clean! It was comfortable and luxurious, making us feel right at home. The location is truly unique and peaceful, being so close to the ocean. We enjoyed the amazing view and soothing sound of the waves. It was a special treat to have a group of pelicans visit us daily. Thank you so much Kris and Maisie for providing us with a wonderful stay and for being so welcoming and friendly!

Everything was fabulous. The views were amazing, the house was great and had all the conveniences you would have in your own home. Lovely bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, comfortable seating, Smart TV with streaming services, very comfortable bed and a sauna. We were amazed at quickly we felt like Sandcastle was home. Good communications from the owners. We will definitely have this house on our holiday rotations and look forward to coming again. Some excellent beach walks close by. Just a wonderful mini holiday.

This house is just amazing. Firstly there is an amazing view with just a few steps to the beach. When you step inside everything is clean and organised in a very welcoming way. The rooms are large and everything is included from towels to soap and shampoo/conditioner in showers. The owners have really thought about what they offer and I was very impressed with the coffee machine, as was my son with the chocolate option. You will always be pleased after a stay here. The feel of the house was so welcoming and calm. I have never stayed in a google smart home and it was quite the experience. I would definitely love to book and stay here again.

Sandcastle house is in a perfect position - looking out over Bungaloo Bay to the ocean with the wind behind you. The sound of of the sea puts you to sleep. The house is beautifully decorated and provided. We were delighted with our stay there and loved coming home to this peaceful place after a day of exploring the region.

After successfully winning a 25% off voucher during an online LIVE event run by the owners of The Sandcastle House, I booked 3 nights away with my family and a couple of friends.
We used Google Maps to find our way there - driving through the pine forests we thought we might have been lost! (Beware of wildlife crossing the road, especially at dusk) As we popped out the other side, we saw the ocean and pulled in at our accommodation. The check-in procedure was easy to follow and quick. Once inside we were very pleased at the size, the features and the view. The beds were beyond comfortable (the sheets were amazing!), the kitchen was self-contained and included all the implements needed to cook our own meals. I love that the Google had a great sense of humour, especially on check-out :)
It was a 30min drive into Mount Gambier, where we tried out the recommended burger joint - Natural Born Grillers. The meals were delicious and very generous, the owner was fabulous and entertaining.
We will most definitely be back during the warmer months, especially for some fishing, and can recommend this accommodation to everyone who wants a nice little getaway.

Amazing, relaxing and peaceful place. Right on the water edge. Google Home was really fun 🙂.. Mount Gambier and Port McDonnell are 30 minutes drives.. Weather was not good, but netflix, prime and disney with heater on, it was relaxing. Kids loved it.. We will definitely come back..

Loved this place. Right on the waters edge, cast a line in or go snorkelling in the bay. My kids loved it!!

What can i say..... beautiful, amazing, peaceful

Very comfortable stay.
Beds were very comfortable and the location right on the water was magical.

My only minor complaint was the house needed a little TLC, e.g. a tad more detail to cleaning, especially the windows, with water views like this, it would be nice to have a cleaner view; the fly screen on the sliding door also needed replacing

Came in January, Easy to find as long as you have Google map. House was presented neat and clean. Open and spacious and on the ocean doorstep.
Although weather was not ideal, felt like winter first 3 days, bitterly cold, raining couldn't do very much , we were entertained with foxtell an Netflix with heaters on, so we were kept warm.
The only downside was weather.
Improvements we would suggest -
would be to have the option of outside blinds to prevent the icey wind as you go outside.
Outdoor setting on deck.
Someone to check lights , only outside light not working, dangerous in the dark, trying to navigate steps after being out and coming home.
Dishwasher is due for maintenance, not cleaning dishes properly.
Clear small fencing around deck, for safety measures, grand daughter fell off it during stay, can be slippery when wet as are the stairs also.
Not enough rubbish bags provided.
Overall stay was pleasant.
