Wishart Reserve Dog Off Leash Area

Love this place. Not too busy for my 2 small dogs. Appreciate the limit of dogs pee person. Was going to another off lease park for years until my little dog was attacked by a larger dog.

The best in the area it's all fence in don't need to worry about your dog taking off.The dog and there owners are really friendly and welcoming to new comers. But as you would anywhere there's always a one that isn't so friendly but I find usually if come from another doggy park around the area. Is there anything I can say if you have a dog that is aggressive towards other dogs you need to remove your dog immediately or have them on a lead. For example today I attended a doggy party where all the dogs were having fun and playing But we had a newcomer arrive that had no control over her own dog The dog was aggressively budding and holding on with its teeth on my dog's neck not once did she intervene several times I pulled that dog off my dog but it continued to go back at it we frustration by said nope this is not happening at that point I was quite angry and pushed her dog away from mine amazes me how some people you're not taking responsibility for their Dog The cancel has now put in place that you need to ask the pet owner if your dog can play "clearly she doesn't read signs". And just to the people that are walking through the doggie park you can't get angry at the dogs for being curious when he's walk through you are in a doggy park And if you have little ones and they're scared of the dogs the smart thing would be not to go through the dog park

Wishart Reserve is a great place to exercise your dog off leash as it is fully fenced in. A friendly range of people visit the park but there's rarely more than half a dozen dogs here at any one time. I brought my dog here from and early age to socialise him with other dogs and he's got on really well with almost all of them.

As it is the only fully fenced dog park in Bayside, it is very handy. Only 1 water tap, so people just hang around that, preventing other dogs from accessing that water. The only seating is right there by the tap so that allows the dogs of those people to stand over and resource-guard the water. Other than that, it is good and there are always waste bags available.
