Didn’t know what to expect coming here but so glad I tried it! The flavour menu is a little small but it has everything you’d want - some classics, some unique. I had the Pistachio and Cookies and both were amazing flavour bombs. Love it when Cookies n Cream ice cream actually has chunks of cookie throughout and this was exactly that. The pistachio was also SO silky smooth and had a good, strong nutty flavour to it. For $6.70, I’d absolutely revisit. It might even become my new local! Great job guys 👏🏻

The gelato flavours are amazing, each one tastes so good! The girls who work there are really nice and helpful. I'm really happy I found this place. If you want some really good gelato in Melbourne, you should try it. I’d give it a 10 out of 10!

We’ve always driven past and kept missing it, finally stopped and had some ice cream. Totally worth it. Great selection of flavours, There’s not 50 different flavours, just enough of them to make your mind up quickly. Pop in, have a taste, summer or winter, this one’s open all year round.

Stumbled across this place this afternoon after visiting the cafe a couple doors down.

So incredibly happy to find them and welcome them to the neighbourhood! We have needed a local ice cream shop that delivers quality and this is it !

Tried a scoop of the Cinnamon and Fig in a cone which was delicious. Standing pricing single scoop $5.30, double $6.70 and triple $8.50.

Only negative I would have to say is that the scoop size could be a more generous - compared to leading competitors in Northcote, Thornbury and Preston I found the scoop size was a bit more reserved. I went with two friends and their scoops were equally sized (on the small size) so wouldn’t say this was a mistake but purposefully measured.

If the size was a bit more generous I would definitely say it is value for money, as the flavour was spot on and texture light yet creamy.

So glad they are open till 10pm; This will be great for after dinner treats when the warm weather hits

Excellent gelato and sorbet outlet/store in Melbourne's inner North. Easy to read menu with some great flavour options. Great selection of rotating flavour specials. It's worth the price, and is a stand alone outlet. All sorbets and gelatos are made on sire with a great attention to detail and affection. Cono is not a chain store either, and will see a steady stream of customers each day it trades. And that's for a reason; excellent Gelato and sorbet. Been here many times, will go back multiple times.

Cherry sorbet at Christmas time is the absolute best.

Oh my gawd, this place was so yummy. Best pistachio gelato I’ve ever had… and I eat a lot of pistachio gelato. Also had the cookie flavour which was bomb as. Would definitely come back again, and definitely looking forward to it 🍆🍆🍑🍑🍑🍑

Cono Gelateria is definitely the best gelato place in the area (no offence for the others of course) and it's absolutely worth trying. I went there twice in order to get a taste of as many flavours as possible. In my experience (I have tried gelato all over Italy, Europe and now Melbourne) there are a few key flavours to know if the place is worth it or not to be called "gelateria" and these flavours are Coffee, Pistachio, Strawberry. I must be honest and say that I was a sceptic when I saw their strawberry for the first time (very pale colour which made me think they use milk for it and I was hoping for a sorbet), but I had a nice surprise once I actually got a taste of it. Smooth and creamy, the strawberry gelato is really enjoyable, and you should definitely try it. Pistachio, in my humble opinion, is possibly the best pistachio in town and, apart from the fact that the colour is the one you expect from a real pistachio gelato, once you try it you cannot appreciate the smoothness of the taste with that extra excitement given by the pieces of pistachio inside. Finally the Coffee, I tried other flavours, but these three are the ones that make the difference. Being Italian (Sicilian to be precise) sometimes it’s a burden when it comes to food or, in this case, gelato but Cono has absolutely nailed the coffee. Of course, everyone has different opinions about it but for me, this coffee is hands down the best I have ever had in Australia so far. As soon as you try it you get hit by the intense strength of the coffee, which isn't "ruined" by the use of sugar or milk (or whatever they use in other places to make it) instead it brings you the full flavour of a real espresso coffee with a mild creamy texture that makes the whole experience absolutely fabulous. Among the other flavours the one I didn't really enjoy was the Nutella, probably too sweet for my taste or maybe not enough Nutella in it. I will give it another go to make sure I am not wrong :)

In conclusion, I totally recommend this place (they should just put a bigger sign outside because I struggle every time I go there to see it). For all of you that are keen to try some real gelato in Reservoir, go here!

Best ice cream in the Northern suburbs. Small well curated list of flavours. Classic. All very well done. We love the Nutella.

I was born and raised in Italy and I can comfortably say this is one of the best (if not the best) gelato in Melbourne.
They have real Pistacchio gelato, very creamy and tasty.
Congratulations to the gelato maker.

THE BEST! Hazelnut and Blueberry (sorbet) duo is number one; the balance of the nuttiness and sour freshness is unlike anything I’ve ever tasted! #1

Well worth a visit. Can highly recommend the pistachio (best I have had anywhere) and the rich chocolate. Support local … well I did drive a bit to get here.

They make the best pistachio ice cream. If they have persimmon, it should definitely be tried.

5 stars preceded by passing cars
Echoing by the window
Emitting a golden glow

Pick your sweet poison
I say fig and cinnamon
Warm spices dusted through swirls
Of sweetness on a cold night

Nutella remains a reliable ally
Reminiscent of childhood journeys to the bottom of the jar
As satisfying now as it was then

And back once more again
Salted caramel for number three
A dichotomy of flavours blended perfectly

Cono is evidently an antidote
Elevating the middle of the week
Like a gelato’s creamy peak

Got three flavours of this amazing gelato delivered by Uber . Pistachio, Cinnamon Fig and Fior Di Latte. Pistachio is the benchmark for true Gelato and it didn't disappoint. The Cinnamon fig was unlike anything else, will definitely have it again and last but not least the delicate Fiore Di Latte holding its own with the punchy other two. Beautiful texture and consistency it too held its own well, even when storing in our home freezer. Strongly recommend.
