It was great to return here after many years away - and it's thankfully still the same, with a lovely wide sandy beach for walking. I didn't swim and don’t have a dog, though could see plenty of dogs, and their owners happily chatting. Rickets Point Cafe is still there as well, with the same lovely views, which was wonderful to know.

Absolutely gorgeous place for snorkelling.
Poor signage, unfortunately m, as heaps of people can be seen walking on the reef or fishing.
Full of several beautiful species of fish, cephalopods and nematodes 💙

Went for the first time to try and catch the Southern Lights, so didn't see much of the park in the dark. Plus was didn't trip or stumble over anything in the dark cos paths were wide and clear:)

Visually stunning sunsets with views better than other bayside beaches and it has the added benefit of being able to bring the hound after certain times.

Awesome dog beach, quieter and more space than Brighton. Lots of rockpools and interesting things for dogs to explore, not much litter for them to pick up and swallow. 👍 Water and bathrooms available, along with bins and bags for the inevitable.

Great dog beach, the sand bank is flat for a long stretch and optimal for dogs to run it and out of. Nice people attend the beach too!

Gorgeous little beach for both dogs and children. The water is shallow so it’s great for the little ones and it keeps the water warmer. Plenty of rock pools too for little explorers.
The beach is clean, sand is lovely. It’s obviously not a “post card” beach but it’s not busy and it’s only a short walk from the car park.

Best dog beach - so relaxing and always meet other great dog owners. Everyone seems to keep the beach clean.

A nice safe environment for your little fur kids to investigate and explore, loads of room when the tide is low, just need to watch out of the odd beached jelly fish or left overs of a fish that have washed ashore.

Super nice clean beach. Heaps of bins and a clean BBQ area. Paring can be a bit hard on the weekends

So many dogs! Very shallow (still knee deep about 150m out) so not good for swimming, but saw a lot of kayaks, and paddle boards floating around. Also saw a puffer fish that was way too close to my face for comfort but it was about 100m out. Lots of kids and animals, and all the dogs are so very cute.

One of our favourite dog beaches for sure! Lots of rock pools & sand pools for dogs to wade through & explore. Nice clear water, rubbish free fine sand beach, friendly dogs & considerate dog owners. Let’s keep it this way! :)

BEST BEACH EVER!!!! Its quite different from most beaches though, very rocky. What i recommend is taking a look in the rock pools, they're a great way to look at the local wildlife, and its something you don't get from any other beach.

A nice quiet dog beach, it's worth going on weekdays though as the weekend cafe can make parking difficult. The water is clean and deep but if you come at low tide it's got great sandbars
