Really nice facility. Award winning rums with a taste of comfort to suit a varierty of patrons, using unique and exquisite natural native flavors with no sugars. Service was also friendly, informative, polite and genuinely helpful. Highly recommend a tasting.

What a great find. The spiced Rum is Devine and the gin is amazing as well. Both reasonably priced plus It’s a nice drive out here The kitchen is not open at the moment but we bought some nibbles to have after the tasting

What an amazing place. Charlotte was such a wonderful hostess for our tasting. Very knowledgeable about all the products and processors and extremely friendly. The gins and rums were all very nice. The only down side was that we are travelling in a caravan so had to limit our buying.
It is so nice to see an all Australian company competing and wining internationally.

Awesome place! We stumbled over this beautiful distillery by chance when we spend one night at Dongara Tourist Park. The tour was really cool and it is amazing to see that such little distilleries still exist! The tasting after the tour was really good and we ended up buying a bottle of rum to take it back to Germany 😊

Awesome little hidden gem in Dongara. We did the tastings and bought all 3 bottles Amos was brilliant with his knowledge of the rum and it’s defiantly worth the drive

Had a lovely time great tasting naturally flavoured with 6 natural Australian plants and the gin won out also merchandise was realistically priced

Yesterday we visited Illegal Tender. Two of us did the tour of the distillery which was worth every cent!
The others ordered platters and cocktails. The drinks were delicious and unique. The platters had top quality produce and the staff were super friendly. I'd highly recommend a visit when you're in Dongara next.

If you love rum (or even gin, they make that too!) then this is a must visit location if you're in the area. I rarely spend large amounts of money on alcohol, but the tastings here convinced me that a bottle of their spiced rum was totally worth the money. The man I was served by was very knowledgeable too and it was great to learn everything was made there. Will be recommending this place to others!

This place is my number one recommendation in Dongara. Hearing their story, The origin of their journey and how hard they've worked to come to where they are today is truly inspirational! Definitely take the tour and absolutely make a booking for a meal because the quality of food here is incredible! Paired with their drinks selection, you can't go wrong. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Learning the whole process was fascinating and Amos looked after us super well, he was friendly and nice and he lowkey cute af, thank you Amos!

Quite inspiring to see this little distillery on a sand dune doing so well against the odds. Tasty rum, the lady who served us was lovely and talked about the future of Illegal Tender. She said there was plans for food platters and rum cocktails in the future. I'm really excited to see where it goes and looking forward to bringing my mates up for a tour next time we visit Dongara. I just picked up my birthday present from my girl. What a fine Rum this is, a hint of brandy . Then fruit and caramel to me anyway , Bloody good sipping Rum thats for sure. Great work, stick to it mate.

I don't know what that bloke below is talking about, if you have you're own business you can open and close whenever you want, today they were so popular they sold out of alcohol!! So they closed early to bottle, and you know what even if they close with good weather, why the hell not, I hope if you ever own your own business, you learn to appreciate the time it takes out of you, so maybe think before you post, maybe instead of thinking of negatives think, why not, they own their own boutique business, between two people who also deserve a life outside of rum, rather then be upset, think before you post, think of what they go through each day. Like they say Hayley, can't please them all, but you certainly please the majority! Don't worry about the one mis guided bad review It's a 5 from me!!

What an amazing place met codie and the boys years ago when they were first making their rum and went and saw the end result five years later how far they have come in a short period of time and they deserve all the awards they’re getting
Highly recommend making the trip to magical place tucked in a beautiful location I left with a few bottles of gin and a rum can’t wait to spread the word to all my friends in Geraldton and in Perth this is a must see place
