Great old school Aussie Chinese joint which I have been craving ever since I’ve moved to Melbourne. The very first moment I went in, I knew that it was going to hit the spot - the faded menus, the sound of sizzling hot plates, the landlines ringing nonstop for takeaway orders. Everything just felt right.

We ordered some classic dishes that hit the nostalgia tastebuds and I have to say the highlight was the sweet and sour pork - amazing batter and tasty sauce.

Would recommend anyone in or out of the area to give this a shot as it’s amazing, tasty, good-value grub 🤤

Delicious food at an affordable price! The staff is very nice and friendly. Spicy chicken ribs and sizzling pepper steak are my favourite here 😋

Was invited here. Had honey chicken the best I have ever had . Plenty of honey, even some honey left after you are down to your last couple of pieces. The serve was great, ordered it within 5 minutes, it was on the table and was warned it was very hot. Tried a bit, and it was very hot, which was perfect. Kept its warmth throughout. Plenty of pieces and different sizes, which is great. Will be going there again and try something different. The other meals being given to the customer looked really good also

Love the food from here. I've tried a number of Asian places in the area, and this is the only one that is consistent, well made and tasty. I've eaten in but mainly get take away. The staff are friendly and helpful, there are lots of tasty options on the menu, and it's reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

The best Chinese we have had in years! Honey king prawns were perfect! Some places you get more dough than prawn - not here! Delicate, crispy thin shell with perfect amount of honey. The sizzling steak was sooo tender & flavourful 😋. Entree spring roll had the freshest filling, crispy coating & served with a wedge of lemon which worked. Staff - friendly, fast service, easy to get attention when needed. The price?? 2 entrees & 2 mains plus can of drink for $74 - brilliant!!!

Ordered a pick up, was quite a large order and was ready in 10 minutes. Food was delicious.

Dragon express restaurant has flavoursome,well cooked geverous sized dishes,at a very good price. The Royal Duck comes in a rich gravy like broth and has chicken, beef, bbq pork and prawns as well as juicy sweet slices of duck with the skin on. Its really nice, should have taken photo before i ate al the duck!

Food is absolutely amazing every single time! Cannot fault it! Highly recommend! And the service from all the girls is nothing short of exceptional! Lovely place to sit down and eat!

Stumbled onto this hidden gem, a few years ago, nice friendly little restaurant, tasty food with a good variety to choose from. Haven’t been a couple of yrs, due to Covid, so we settle for home delivery! Delicious! 👍

Me and my family have become regulars at this unassuming Chinese restaurant. The owner is such a fun guy who clearly loves his job. I’ve had a variety of dishes here but I keep coming back to the beef black bean noodle and prawn fried rice. Everything is so tasty, definitely quite oily but that’s the comforting taste of Chinese takeout. Super affordable as well!

DINNER SERVICE WAS SO QUICK, FRESH AND SIZZLING HOT, HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.

Always great food and service at reasonable prices. The food is always fresh and delicious. The big spring roll is a must have starter and we always finish with the banana fritter with homemade sauce. Great night out.

I can see why this place is packed on the weekend. Good sizes, tasty food, good atmosphere where you can have a conversation. Well priced.

First time to Dragon express and the food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Was invited for work catch up and will be going back again for friendly staff and good honest food.

My husband and I called them up to tell them we have a complaint. When she ask what it was my husband answered we enjoyed it too much, I added we can't stop eating. He then asked if she could complement the chef this is one of the best Chinese we have ever had the pork was so tender it just melted in the mouth and that was with batter.
