I consulted with Mr Shane Blackmore end of October, for possible replacement of my right hip. Professionalism is an understatement. He was not pushy and gave me various scenarios to take home to consider. I felt very confident and reassured, and decided to go ahead. Frankly, I didn't even check out other surgeon!! Had my surgery on the 15th of January, and it went so smoothly. All praises to Shane and his surgical team and assistants. Best team ever! I was able to climb the steps of two floors at the hospital just 5 days post op!!! From then on, I am just getting stronger and stronger. Best decision, and indeed I do not have to consider anyone else should i require further orthopaedic procedures. Thank you Shane. Janice

Dr Shane has been amazing . From the first time he met with my 15 year old son who had a complete tear of his ACL to the visit in the hospital after surgery . He is extremely knowledgeable yet in a way you can understand Great manner with my teenage son who felt very comfortable with him. He got surgery moving very quickly aware there is a long rehab timeframe and being a teenager he wants to get back into competitive sport so didn’t leave us lingering . Dr Shane is very professional with a caring approach . I would highly recommend him and his staff

Mr Shane Blackmore is a lovely man and a wonderful surgeon. He answered all my questions pre knee replacement surgery, assisted me to link in with a physio and saw me prior to surgery to go over everything he would do. He gave me realistic expectations of the pain and recovery which really helped when i woke up and was in pain. He checked in on me multiple times post surgery and gave me time to ask any questions and discuss any concerns. My knee replacement was 4 months ago and has done an excellent job. My new knee is amazing and only 4 months into recovery i dont feel pain and can do so many more things without pain. It’s so great to be active again and have my life back. Mr Blackmore’s team in his clinic are all lovely and so helpful with answering any questions and concerns. I highly recommend Mr Blackmore for treatment of knee problems and knee replacements.

my surgery happened with 5 hours delay
I lost couple of thousand dollar as my client canceled the job when I said I am not able to finish your job cause of my surgery day I can’t come so Shane was helping people back on their feet and I was thirsty and hungry lost my control started blaming him and his team on my mind to keep me waiting in ward and did my surgery with 5 hours delay I thought they are un organised and disrespectful to people time.
Later I spoke to a nurse about my experience , she explained to me sometimes surgery takes longer and Shane is decent man try to do his best .
Then Shane himself was preparing and marking my knee prior to go to operating theatre kindly explained me himself that he was doing his best to be sure the other surgeries ending up for good with the best result possible so dr Shane doesn’t care about being judged he knows what he is doing and never sacrifices the quality of his job for saving time
I respect him now more than before cause I understand if something goes wrong he won’t let it be done he will spend more time to give the patient best possible result and he worked till 7 pm today instead of 3 pm

I had my right, and left reverse shoulder replacement done, one in February, and the other end of July 2023. I highly recommend Shane Blackmore as your Orthopaedic Surgeon and also the physios that are available at stronger health. I am back to work , my first game of golf next week. Shane is direct, a no nonsense surgeon. Results speak for themselves. Right total hip replacement - anterior - MAKO. Surgery in August and able to participate fully in a full month in Croatia trip with extensive walking/hiking. At the time the left hip requires replacement, I'll be back to Shane.

I am a boxer who had a latarjet surgery on both shoulders one year apart. Shane was just brilliant from the very first appointment and did an amazing job from explaining the procedure to performing the surgery to the aftercare. I was referred to Mr. Shane Blackmore in June of 2017 by a sports doctor due to problems with my right shoulder. During the initial consultation, Shane explained all the treatment options available. After considering all the options and long-term benefits of each option, I decided to undergo a shoulder arthroscopy. I found Shane to be very thorough, easy to deal with and transparent.

In May of 2023, I visited Shane again. This time the issue was my left shoulder. I didn’t consider any other surgeon because of the trust I gained with Shane after the successful operation on my right shoulder 6 years earlier.

The consultations were thorough and transparent as they were in 2017. An arthroscopy on my left shoulder was performed in June of 2023. Not even three months after the operation, I am on the way to regain full arm reach/movement and without shoulder pain.

Shane is an exceptional surgeon. He is thorough, transparent and trustworthy.

I would recommend Shane to family and friends (as per my personal experiences).

Just did an ACL reconstruction with Dr Shane Blackmore and the experience was seamless. Transparent with all the procedures and costs. Dr Shane was patient throughout the whole process and answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns.

Mum who is 64 had the RFA due to bilateral hip trochanteric bursitis. Prior to this procedure, mum could not walk to the letter box and back without pain. Shopping trips took longer as mum needed to stop every hour for a rest due to pain.
After the procedure and healing time of approximately 2-3 weeks mum is a new woman, is now going on nice outdoor door walks, can go shopping with no breaks and is walking around confidently and without feeling like a burden due to pain. The grandkids are happy because she is out with them again.

Shane Blackmore did an excellent job repairing my shoulder which had both extensive rotator cuff and bicep tendon damage. Not only is his technical skills of the highest standard but his experience at guiding you through the recovery is equally impressive. He explains the processes involved both in surgery and recovery whilst monitoring your progress and anticipating potential hurdles along the way. Shane is supported by a quality team of people and his referrals to physiotherapists have been a real advantage. I am back on the tennis court in less than 6 months. The technique and approach that Shane implements to his patients is such that provides better patient outcomes. I have had two procedures - anterior hip replacement with robotic assistance and a knee arthroscopy using Radio frequency abalation. I was entirely satisfied of the outcomes on both occasions . Most importantly Shane can accommodate his techniques and skills on many patents with various shapes and sizes, especially when I needed him most. The outcomes improved a significant rate of quality in life. His efforts are always appreciated.
