My daughter and I stayed here over a year ago, so belated review that I've
always been meaning to get to because our stay was fantastic. A lovely
experience stay that I haven't seen anywhere else in WA. The location is
very serene and private. The chalet was lovely and spacious. Joy and
Simon were very welcoming. The best part was seeing all the wildlife up
close. My daughter could get involved and had a ball. The nighttime
mania over the feed was the best. We saw more wildlife than we ever had
before. The spa in amongst the bush was a relaxing added bonus!
Thanks so much Joy and Simon!

Absolutely wonderful. The chalet was well equipped and everything was very well thought out. There was not a thing that we might need hadn't been provided. It's super serene sitting in your spa nestled among the trees in the sunshine. There's even food provided for you to feed to all the local wildlife. Joy and Simon have created a real gem hidden here and we will be back many times in the future.

We just can't get enough of this place. It's the perfect retreat for anyone. Single? Perfect. Couple? Perfect. Friends? Perfect. Family? Perfect. We come every year as a family, to disconnect from the city life. We get to just sit and enjoy nature, and relax under the stars. Also love a good fungi hunt, this place even has the bioluminescence fungi which was a real treat. Joy and Simon are amazing, and they always have good stories to tell as well. We've had to try other places occasionally due to Joy and Simon taking a much deserved holiday themselves, and can honestly say that nothing has even come close to what Joy and Simon offer. Keep it up!

Spent 3 nights at Yelverton. It is a beautiful tranquil place and had multiple visits from Kangaroos, possums and saw a Woylie for the first time. Great spot to explore Margaret River from and then escape back to your own bushland paradise and relax in the outdoor spa. Joy was on hand instantly to answer any questions we had. Thanks guys for the holiday and we will be back for another bush escape.

We spent 3 nights in the Banksia chalet and it was just not long enough for us. The chalet had everything we needed and was spotless.
We had kangaroos, possums, woylies, bandicoot, parrots and other birds, all at our door feeding, it was awesome.
Could sit in the spa under the stars and just enjoy the peace and quiet and enjoy the wildlife coming to feed.
Joy & Simon have created a heaven on earth in my opinion and should be so proud of what they have done with this land.
We will definitely be returning.

What a relaxing week at Yelverton Brook! Having no wifi was a bonus ;) though our kids didn’t think so initially. But by the second day they said “we love being surrounded by nature!”
We still had access to mobile data tho.
Joy and Simon have equipped the cottages with more than we could ask for - whether for cooking / bbq or entertaining ourselves with good ol’ board games and a collection of DVDs. The gentle wild life at our front porch were the highlights every morning and evening. We established a routine where we would sprinkle food twice a day to encourage the animals to visit us.
We feel recharged!

Outstanding accommodation and fantastic hosts Joy and Simon, with the best close up wildlife experience, and a luxurious open air spa to watch the stars at night. Chalets are generously spacious and well heated for extra comfort in chilly winter days. The surrounding bushland is absolutely beautiful with native flora including orchids in winter. Highly recommended 👌

My husband and I stayed in the Banksia chalet here for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon. The chalet is clean and comfortable and has everything you could need during your stay. At night we had possums and woylies surround our chalet and we had kangaroos greet us for breakfast. Truly spectacular. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be visiting again next time we are in Australia. Thank you Joy and Simon for having us! Ellen and Ewan.

Jess and I loved staying at this place while holidaying in the south west of Western Australia. It is not far from Margaret River. The best part was the native animals which came to welcome us every morning and night.. The Kangaroos wanted to be fed by hand and the possums and bandicoots were fed in bowls. Enjoyed having a spar after a day of visiting wineries . A spar under the stars, very relaxing. Our hosts Simon and Joy were very helpful and friendly. They told us all about the popular places to visit and provided us with eggs from their chooks and milk. The beds were very comfortable and the chalet was very clean.

Yelverton Brook is my favourite place to be! If you are looking for a wonderful place to unwind, reset, relax and indulge in nature then this is your pick! From the secluded and quaint little cottages (we stayed in Fern) that have all you need, to the beautiful bush surroundings where you can explore, or just sit and watch, to the amazing and friendly wildlife interactions. The animals are my favourite part of Yelverton Brook! Kangaroos on your doorstep that eat out of your hand, bobtails and lizards that wander around, birds that flutter here and there, and the night comes alive with possums, woylies and bandicoots that all ate out of our hands also! We enjoyed our private spa under the stars while watching the nightlife before sitting on the patio and waiting for the animals to approach us. Everything about this place is magical! Joy and Simon have done an outstanding job to provide such a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature. I honestly did not stop smiling the whole time I was there! We will be back for certain! I already miss my furry friends! Helpful hint- take lots of bananas and apples with you to feed to the animals, word gets around and you will have all the animals on your doorstep! :-)

This place is really peaceful and a great way to de-stress. The interaction with the local animals is amazing, with kangaroos and woylies almost knocking on the door looking for a treat. The accomodation is good, and has everything you need when staying away from home. The chalets are spaced really well so you can have a private getaway. We love the private spa and relax in there 2 or 3 times a day.

Absolutely loved our stay here! It was such a great place to disconnect and relax. We were greeted by kangaroos as soon as we arrived and they kept us company while we had a bbq. At night, a few of possums and woylies came out to say hi while we were in the spa. The chalet was beautiful and cosy and had so much character. I have recommended this place to all my friends and I Will definitely be coming back again!

AMAZING! Beautiful cottages, the spa is perfect, nice and hot! The wildlife is abundant. If you are entertaining out of town guests or just want to see some Australian wildlife this is the place to go. The Owners Simon and Joy are nice and accommodating. These cottages have everything, spices to cook with, cutlery pots pans, no need to bring anything but food! they even have some slippers waiting for you at the door.
As an American I have had a hard time finding HOT hot tubes in Australia, but this Eco Spa Retreat had just what I was looking for! Perfect for the kids too!!
Thanks Simon and Joy for a great stay! We will be back!

Seeing the Kangaroos and the Woylies was a fabulous experience. The little blue wrens and Possums were so cute too. The chalet was a perfect place to get a bit of respite from a challenger role of a carer. It was a great getaway.

Excellent getaway from the city , kids loved hand feeding the kangaroo and seeing possums climbing at night. We liked going in the spa and watching the playful kangaroos bouncing up to us.It was also a great addition to the chalet. Whenever we came in the chalet you could smell peppermint.😀😀😀😁😄😁😄😁😀🙂😍If I had to choose anywhere to go for a holiday I would choose Yelverton Brook.

We had a great time here, so many animals our kids loved it. We were greeted at our cabin by 4 kangaroos and then throughout the evening saw bandicoots, woylies, possums and rabbits. They come right up to your door.

The rooms were incredibly clean and tidy and had a lot more than we expected. Even a washing machine and fireplace.

We ended up staying in and having a bbq both nights, felt a lot more relaxing than going back out after a long day sight seeing and driving.

We have 2 primary school aged boys and a 6 month old, the owners were very accommodating. We would definitely recommend this for people with young children, it was very nice.

Fabulous getaway

Nothing feels more like getting away than being one with nature and that’s certainly how it feels at the Yelverton Eco Chalets and Sanctuary. I brought my grandmother down for her 88th birthday to enjoy the country. Upon arriving at our chalet we poured ourselves a glass of wine and enjoyed watching the birds come to visit on our patio, mostly 28’s. Time flew by as we chatted and enjoyed the scenery, it wasn’t long before we were greeted by the Kangaroos bounding through the bush. We had 7, 3 mamma’s with joey’s and one on it’s own. They must have been quite comfortable as they stayed around our patio for a good 3 hours before wondering off. We watched them the entire time, until about 7PM. They also returned in the morning around 7AM.
It has been a wonderful experience, the owners are very welcoming and friendly. The homemade organic bread is delicious and bought warm to your door. There is homemade jams, milk, butter and juice provided along with cereals tea and coffee. They really do cater for everything. The accommodation is not the 5 star accommodation you may expect in the city, it’s homely with a rustic cottage feel, old appliances and lots of floral. We were in the Jarrah chalet which is located closer to the road which you can hear – that would be my only “complaint” if I had one but to be honest it is not a particularly busy road. The whole experience was unforgettable, something I will cherish with my grandmother for years to come. Despite only being 2 nights it felt like we had been winding down for a week.
On another note, it’s super close to the wineries and breweries smack bang in between Busselton and Margaret River, everything is on your doorstep. We popped out to Cheeky Monkey for lunch and brought a pizza back for our evening meal. I’d highly recommend this experience to couples, small families or granddaughters and grandmothers.
