Thunderbolt Inn (The Bottom Pub)

Wife and I stayed at Bottom Pub for 4 days and had a great time both in Uralla and the Pub itself. Nick provided us a fantastic room, was surprised how clean and neat the room was. The design was also very cool. Plus, they provide heated blankets for those cold nights. We had almost all our meals here during our stay and it was all of high standard. The service was excellent and the flavours superb. I've never stayed at a pub before and didn't know what to expect and would gladly come back again. Special shout out to Nick, Courtney, Jamie and the rest of the gang. You made our tine excellent. 👌👌👌

Very pleasantly surprised. After a few years absence we decided to have lunch. The servings were delicious and super generous. The staff were pleasant and attentive. We had the Cajun chicken burger and salt and pepper squid salad. I would definitely recommend you give it a visit.

I could stay in a tent and be happy...and I often do...and am! For night one of my 6 day trip, I ended up in Uralla and decided that a pub stay was warranted. Thunderbolt Inn had the classic look and I decided this was the one. I was offered a room with and en suite and thought WHY NOT?...$15 more than one without. This room was beautiful. Probably should have brought the wife along. She would have loved it, and she has high standards. The heater warmed the room...i don't recall if there was a TV...yes there was! The staff were welcoming and friendly and the meal I had was very nice. An American-style burger, I believe. Can't fault this place. Actually...the only thing it was lacking (and this is just me) is a table and chair, like a desk, so I could set up my laptop and do some "work." I did that at the table in the pub while having my dinner. You could stay in a motel and have a room with no ambiance and pay so much more. Just stay here!

I stayed in room 6 and had a great night sleep, the bed was very comfy and even though the room faced the main Street it was quiet enough to get a good rest.
Shower was good pressure.
Overall I would easily recommend a stop over and feel sure it's my new local hotel.

Whilst staying two nights in Uralla on a motorcycling holiday with a large group of 20 motorcyclists, the Bottom Pub was where we booked for dinner the first night. The meals came out very quickly, were absolutely delicious and we were so impressed we went back the second night. Very helpful friendly staff and it was lovely mixing and chatting with the locals. Great location and can highly recommend this pub.

Excellent Bar staff service, young blonde lady was very pleasant and accommodating. Our dinners where nice with the fire place was a lovely aspect to sit amongst after a long day on the road. Would recommend a drop in to see the rich heritage the building has to offer.

Stayed here at the beginning of riding the Oxley Highway. Staff were great, food was tasty and reasonably priced. The room was clean and comfortable. Shared bathroom also clean and well kept. What a lovely area!

Went to the Bottom Pub for dinner with my wife tonight, the rissoles where lovely so we decided we would stay and have a bottle of wine afterwards. The Bar lass had very nice customer service and very quick service. The VIP room in this establishment is also very good. We will be back shortly for another visit.

Driving thru from Sydney found this pub. Stayed for 1 night and found the room to be absolutely fantastic had that country charm and feel. The bistro served delicious food and great service. The pokies were great had a good win. I have been told they pay out well here. Highly recommend to stay at this pub

Lunch today on Anzac day was delayed but the food was well worth the wait.
The place was packed and the staff were run off their feet but they all managed to make us feel welcome.
The meals were worth the delays. Fresh. Hot. Well presented.

Very good service, friendly staff for a fair price. We arrived pretty late and the kitchen was about to close, but the kitchen staff worked extra ours to serve us warm food. My girlfriend asked for a cesar's salad without chicken and without asking for it they only charged us a fraction of the price! The room was very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately I left my shaver in the bathroom and only noticed it when I arrived in Sydney. Brad the manager was so nice though, and shipped my lost shaver to Brisbane free of charge! Next time I´m around, I´ll definitely stay at the Thunderbolt's Inn again.

We stayed in the family room and it was clean and cozy. Its a biker friendly pub and staff were fantastic. Food was good and locals were great and very helpful. Facilities were clean and tidy. I Would highly recommend this place and we will be back soon!

Stopped for lunch, and so glad we did! Great food at very affordable prices, and I cant rate the service and friendly staff highly enough. Will definitely return again

Son and I came in for a meal. Got the seafood basket and scotch. Both were amazing, and one of the best coffees I’ve had. Fire was beautiful too. Will be sure to let my friends know

Cannot find better in Uralla to stay, the Owners & Staff are efficient & friendly. In the centre of the CBD. One of the few places that put out motorcycle & car cleaning gear & a shoe shine kit for your boots. Check out the tomato sauce when ordering your breakfast, beautiful. Rooms are clean & modern, water pressure in the shower very strong.

Stayed a night and had dinner. Very friendly staff and great value accommodation. Perfect for a short stay. Ps - food in the restaurant is worth stopping for.

I took a group of 20 people here for dinner and the service was superb. The meals were out fast and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended 👍
