Great selection of pies and absolutely divine in taste. Probably one of the few bake houses that is still making Lamb and Rosemary pies. Quite a lot of meat in the filling. I'm a bit of a voracious bloke but one was quite filling for me. All good reasons to rate them 5+!

But the folks running the shop are some of the most amazing people I've ever met. We ate a few pies and bought some hot sauces and drinks. It was a nice sunny day and we forgot the hot sauces on their outdoor table before driving back to Melbourne. Called them the next day and they acknowledged that we'd left the sauces there and were happy to post them to us. I was kind of considering driving an hour and half to smash a few more pies in a couple of weeks anyway. But they went above and beyond and actually dropped off the two bottles of hot sauce at my home in Ringwood. Hopefully didn't have to take too much of a detour to do that. I'm lost for words and don't know how to thank them. Thanks so much. Will be back for sure. :)

Absolutely delicious pies, drinks and dessert 😋👌 and super friendly staff. A great stop over for lunch on the Great Victorian Rail Trail. Also, I really loved their beautifully designed paper bags.

Best pies in the country. I had a lamb and rosemary today and it was unreal. Great staff and quality food and service. Definitely going to stop there again after every high country trip.
Even bought a frozen one to take home and have for Monday.

The pies were really good and so was the coffee. I had chunky beef with mushroom, family has bacon and chee pie, pasties and lamb the lamb pie was really good. Lots of other bottled goodies to buy too.

Our first time there today on our way to Mansfield as it was recommended to us. So glad we stopped for lunch. The lamb and rosemary pie was delicious. The meat was so tender and melted in your mouth. No a bit of fat or gristle, just pure delicious lamb and the pastry was so good, like I nevrr had before. The pasties was also delicious and the cakes we bought as a sharing plate went down very well. All complimented how good and fresh they were. Will definitely be back.

Friends had told us about this “pie shop”. Great pies, they said. We stopped for a lamb and rosemary pie and a vegetarian pasty which we ate at one of the benches in front. The pies were magnificent, having generous, tasty fillings and superb pastry. The “ambience” beside the road on a cool, windy day shared with other enthusiastic pie cognoscenti, was better than any pretentious table-clothed restaurant could possibly have offered. A real treat which we shall go out of our way to repeat.

I brought 5 motorcycle friends with me today, it was very busy. The service was perfectly friendly, the pies were just awesome and even the other customers were happy to make space for our little leather-clad group. I'll be back!!

March 2024 - First visit to Bucks resulted in a great find. Purchased a beef pie and custard tart. Both were filled to the brim with respective fillings making it great value. The beef pie was filled with bite size chunks making it quite large excellent meal. The custard tart pastry was tasty and strong enough to hold the extraordinary amount of very tasty custard. Both were the best I've had in a long time. Unfortunately they didn't have any Apple pies which is a favourite of mine. Friendly service. Recommended.

Such a cute little gem in a little town. Had some bakery items so fresh and so good. Love the ambiance. Great coffee and pies too. I will definitely go back if I am travelling that way.

It is a must stop-over if you're going towards Mt Buller or some other areas around.

Their pies are delicious and also has plenty of desserts. They also sell their home made sauces, frozen pies, spices and even Bucks Country clothing.

Their black pepper beef pie is amazing, and has chunks of steak inside. 👌

Nice and peaceful, plenty of parking spaces, reasonable prices, the place ie highly recommend.

Stopped by Bucks Country Bakehouse as a mate told me about it. I went outta my way on way home to check it out and i was NOT disappointed. I ended up spending $67 bucks there and could of spent a hell of a lot more as there was so many amazing things there i wanted. I had a lamb and mint pie! AMAZING!!! grabbed some frozen pies for home too, and I'm glad i did now as the pie tasted the bomb. com

Delicious pies sausage rolls. Not to keen on the pasties but that could just be my taste. Nice cakes tarts coffees hot chocolate and cold drinks. Seating outside. Nice gift shop. I bought a Delicious honey. They have jams marmalades candles etc.

Nearly always stop at Bucks on our to Mansfield. Their pies are epic. The flaky pastry and generous fillings are amazing. My go to is the chunky pepper steak. Heap of peppery goodness. It is the best steak pepper I have ever had.

Some of the best pies I've ever had. We also tried the dark chocolate which was nice and the raspberry bubblegum cordial, which tastes like drinking hubba bubba. So glad we stopped here on the way back to Melbourne. Will definitely be visiting again

Dropped in here while riding the Great Victorian Rail Trail. Great selection of gourmet pies, makes it really hard to decide what to have. The cakes and coffee are also really good. Recommend the vanilla slice donut.

Hands down the BEST pie in the country. We drove by on our way to Mount Samaria and made sure we drove back the same way just for another one. It was THAT GOOD!

April 2023 - I love their veg pasties. The coffee is still a bit bitter for me but the staff are very nice

March 2022 - stopped for 2 sausage rolls and a coffee. Unfortunately the sausage rolls were way over-cooked and were very hard and tasteless. The coffee is of the bitter variety. I'm still happy to call in here and will try a sandwich next time as they looked very good.

2020 - Omg what a pleasant surprise! Hugely deep pies all made on premises with the best pastry I've ever had. A very comfy place and so rustic. The staff are lovely and friendly too. A must stop!
