Altona Motel

Great value for money as roadside motels go. Really Clean and beautiful fluffy towels (which NEVER is a motel thing generally 😂). Kay and Ken even lent us their spade for some fossicking in the real hidden surprise of our visit - the best fossicking spot I’ve seen just down the road. Highly recommend

Great stopover location. Tidy room, spacious bathroom, plenty of power points and no white towels! Loved the grey linen!! Management were really helpful and pleasant.

Stayed here for a night over the w/e, great little motel. I was pleasantly surprised, good size room, lots of space to dry out my damp motorcycle gear🙄 and very helpful management nothing was a problem.
There was no food options, but there's a servo right next door that has a pretty good range of packaged sangers and other goodies. Having said that there are biscuits and plenty of tea and coffee available in the room, not like some other stingy motels I've stayed in.
If your after a reasonably priced, comfortable and clean overnight stay this is one not to overlook.. I'll be staying here again if I'm up that way👍

we recently booked the Altona Motel in Uralla for a night a few days before Christmas. Unfortunately due to an illness we had to keep putting the date back. All this was met with the very helpful management. This is 2 years in a row we have had to change our booking. The Altona Motel is our 1st choice when travelling to Queensland. Very clean. Close to town. Thank-you to management for your assistant.

Neat and clean rooms with good facilities and very friendly and helpful reception. Good value.

I stayed here whilst visiting Armidale. The accommodation was excellent, and I felt very comfortable in my room. It was clean, tidy, serviced daily. The bathrooms were new an clean, and water pressure was excellent. Highly recommend.

An excellent and comfortable motel with friendly and welcoming staff. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this place.

Very clean and tidy. The couple running the motel were lovely, when the towns power went out they came to each room with candles.
We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again.

We enjoy staying at the Altona. Older motel but clean and comfortable with reasonable prices. Easy to find and fairly quiet at night although close to the road.
No restaurant here but a service station next door do meals that are OK.

Owner was extremely friendly! Room was nice and clean! Water pressure in the shower was so good it could take the paint off your car

No need to count sheep you will hear every truck comin in and out of town.

Room was one of the smallest motel rooms we have ever come across but it was fresh, new and very user friendly. Value for money.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I accidentally booked the wrong dates, rang and they were very happy to change the dates no issue at all.
Room was big and clean. Plenty of off street parking.

Very clean, cosy (split system a/c, and elec. blankets on the beds), great shower in the bathroom, obviously tea and coffee supplied ... but with biscuits too!?! All at a very reasonable price. Very impressed!

I was very happy with my stay. Although the building is dated, the room was spotlessly clean, spacious and contained all I needed for an overnight stay. It was an easy 10 minute walk into Uralla.

A very clean and nice place to stay. A few hooks in the bathroom would be welcomed. Friendly owners. Recommended.

EXCELLENT location ,clan room and service was excellent. The owners were very accommodating and I would recommend it to everyone travelling to stop here and not Armidale. Worth that extra 20mins drive from Armidale.
