Authentic banana leaf rice experience. You can always tell when a place puts care into each side dish, and it’s clear they absolutely do. Even the often overlooked fried chillies were excellent.

Roti is also great - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

I will say, I think the curries are on the slightly lighter / less spicy side (both in terms of chilli spice level and actual amount of spices) compared to what you would typically get in Malaysia. The upside is it’s a bit cleaner and you don’t leave with a heavy / ‘jelak’ sort of feeling.

Very cute shop. Clean and organized as well. Nasi Lamak with fish curry was very delicious. Sambal source was a bit sweeter than the other places that I had, which I don’t mind. I’m not a big fan of cat fish, hoping they will offer other fish as an option in the future.

I am very satisfied with my brunch at khesyaan kitchen - Nasi Kandar with Masala fried chicken and a cup of milk tea (teh tarik)!

I had the pleasure of dining here. The Nasi lemak was really good and authentic. The restaurant was spacious and clean environment. The owners were friendly and went out of their way to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout the meal. Whether you're craving delicious Malaysian cuisine or simply looking for a welcoming atmosphere, this place has it all. I'll definitely be returning soon.

One of the best malay food around! The sambal is amazing and staff are full of smiles n homely feel.

Quick summary: when these guys are on it, this is the best roti chanai you can get in the world, equalling or beating many places in Malaysia. When they are not on it (maybe different chef?), it's still very good and maybe the best in Australia. Just look at the texture of the roti in the picture!

Roti Chanai: 4-5/5. VERY reasonably priced compared to other roti places. The curries that you get are really good too, but the chilli has been toned down for the market.

Nasi Lemak: 4/5. The coconut rice has great flavour and everything is as it should be. Would prefer more anchovies/peanuts (the serve was rather small).

Nasi Bungkus: 5/5. I actually prefer this over its big brother the Nasi Lemak, because everything is more in proportion.

Nasi Bryani: 5/5. Excellent flavour and perfectly textured rice.

Delicious Malaysian food and value for money! The banana leaf is very authentic and they are generous on the portions (and ask if you want more curry or rice). The beef rendang is nice too. My only wish was that I got to have roti canai on my last visit (chef was sick) - when I went to the previous location, the restaurant had awesome roti. Staff is really friendly!

Had the $5 promotional Nasi Lemak Bungkus (packet). Ingredients are simple but so delicious and satisfying! Especially loved the sambal and fried anchovies. Rice is fragrant and well cooked. One of the best Nasi Lemak I’ve had in Melbourne. Will definitely be back to try the other dishes on the menu.

Catered vegetarian meal for my new house warming prayers ceremony. Can’t express my gratitude for such amazing food and great service! Asked to deliver at 11.30am but food already arrived at 11am via Uber. All my guests who ate, the first thing they said was “Food is amazing and taste like home cooked meal”! All went 2nd round and there was still plenty of left over! Such huge portions.

Food menu was prepared just the way I asked. The Sambar was generous with lots of different vegetables. The payasam wasn’t too sweet and was generous on cashew and raisins. The pumpkin patchedi reminded me the one my mom makes. The Tauhu sambal reminded me of Malaysia. The Vadai was soft and spongy. Can’t fault a single thing! From customer service, food to delivery everything was perfect. Thank you Khesyaan Kitchen for making my house warming prayers ceremony even more memorable with your amazing food! Will definitely be back for my future events. Thanks!

Been looking for a good nasi lemak bungkus. This was great but needed just a touch more seasoning and it would have really popped. I will be back.

So lucky to find such a gem here in Melbourne! 5* all around. We had briyani, thosai, and because they were so good, we could not resist takeaway of chicken murtabak and nasi lemak too! The place is clean and no heavy greasy smell coming out from their kitchen which is always a plus! Super friendly service from the staff and chef Kumar.

Celebrated my Birthday with my mates yesterday with an awesome Luncheon prepared by Head Chef Mr. Nantha at Kesyhaan Kitchen. The Fish Head Curry, Prawn Sambal, Ayam Masak Merah, etc were all finger licking good. Thank you to both Ms.Shankari and Mr.Nantha for an unforgettable birthday experience 😊

The best nasi kandar I’ve tried . The price affordable and the portion is more than we expect . We will come again to try other varieties.
Also the staff friendly and the service I rate 9/10 .

First class food and service. We visited on 12 May 2024. Had the roti telur, nasi lemak and nasi briyani. Tasty food, and was nice of the chef to check in with us.

A hidden gem of a cafe serving authentic Malaysian food with very reasonable prices. We ordered the Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken, Mamak Mee Goreng & Teh Tarik and all tasted like home. Will definitely go back to try the other items in their menu!
