Really easy to deal with. Some of the product I ordered were not in stock but I was let know within one day very responsive assistance to swap them for something else. The turntable and preamp I ended up purchasing are fantastic!

I have had only limited dealings with Melbourne Hi Fi, and from a distance (I live in Canberra), but I thought they were outstanding. A model of efficiency, courtesy and understanding. And I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Great staff members there. Was extremely helpful and understanding. I was greeted by Amelia and she demo a few amps and speakers for me, which assisted me in picking the right equipments. Also the online chat with Mischa was amazing. I was checked up to ensure I had compatible items. One can get serviced even after hours! Would highly recommend them and would definitely be back for more.

I recently purchased a blue tooth adaptor to go with my audio-technica turntable. I thought I ordered it for delivery (to Regional Victoria) but my mistake. When I called Melbourne Hi Fi, it was posted it to me without charge. Great service! I had to call to get it working because I'm inept and that was sorted very easily too. I regard this as a professional outfit with a great range.

You may feel a bit intimidated walking into a place that prides itself in selling systems priced in the tens of thousands of dollars when your budget is much much less, but Mischa immediately leapt to his feet and provided excellent service despite knowing that we were there only for a significantly discounted demo model. He set it up to allow us to listen using our own music. There was no time pressure - just a friendly informed discussion with no overt pressure to buy.

Good prices and items came in good packaging/condition from Vic to Syd. Good shipping time. Easier to set up than I thought. Excellent communication throughout shipping process. Good quality systems. Turntable, cables, speakers, and amplifier purchased in one big package, all came together nicely. It's a business that's still got a lot of heart in its operations. Something bigger businesses lose. Well done! Highly recommended, they know their product.

Bought an Arcam a19 amp in 2015 to go with my 1970’s Interdyne speakers. It was never any good. Approached Melbourne HiFi about upgrading the speakers, and Mischa said to bring the amp and the speakers to the store for a demo to find a solution.
I was very impressed by Mischa's understanding of what makes good sound experiences. He was able to demonstrate that that my existing speakers were fine, and sold me a discounted AVM Evolution A3.2 demo amp to match them.
After a week to settle in, I still find the sound I am getting is wonderful. In retrospect, I wonder if his mission wasn't to move that particular amplifier at the expense of cheaper options, but it doesn’t alter the fact that I’m getting the enjoyment that I should have been getting way back in 2015.

A wonderful boutique audio store, with very knowledgeable and helpful staff that assist you to create the best possible system, to suit your budget. No patronising staff here, just solid honest advice.

I was looking to purchase three pieces of hifi equipment, with alternatives in mind for each piece. I was given good advice, with explanations to support it. In only one of the three cases was the more expensive alternative recommended. The sound quality of the new pieces is excellent.
