Katie Slaney Singing Lessons

Katie is great at creating an encouraging atmosphere, and mixing in different styles of music and helpful vocal exercises. I wanted to build my confidence singing in front of people, which I can definitely feel myself doing! She’s also been helpful with pointers on playing guitar as accompaniment and getting a good feel for the songs I enjoy.

Katie is a wonderful, attentive and intuitive teacher. I cannot recommend her enough. When I started lessons, I felt like I had hit a wall in my singing progression. She quickly assessed my proficiency level and the ways in which I could be challenged to build upon my singing skills. I am grateful for her understanding and holistic approach to teaching which takes into account all the factors that go into delivering a good performance. It is clear that she is very experienced knows how to slice through to get the best results from you. I feel like I am always improving and growing under her guidance.

Katie is a one of a kind teacher. She's fun, encouraging, honest, and knows her stuff. She not only has great knowledge on musical theory, but also on people, how to teach best, and lots of experience in the music industry that has given her wisdom that she brings to your lessons. I started as a beginner but I highly recommend Katie to all levels of singers. She can help you master a certain song, teach a certain technique, or just help expand your voice as an instrument in general. If you're shopping around for a teacher, my advice would be to stop here.

My husband bought me singing lessons for my birthday. I was terrified! I love singing but did not feel confident singing outside the shower! After my first lesson I told my husband it was the best present he had ever bought me! Katie was fun and encouraging. She challenged me and nurtured my love of music. Katie Slaney is an absolutely wonderful singing teacher! I gained so much in confidence from my lessons with her and went from strength to strength with my singing, reaching a point where I was ready to go out and gig professionally. Katie is so encouraging, inspiring, motivating, and supportive. I've learnt so many practical tips from her and had my eyes opened to the creative and explorational world of singing. I found out about Katie when I was exasperately searching for singing classes. The first class I rocked up nervously but left very confident about singing as a hobby. Katie has a lot of experience under her belt that she uses to enhance your confidence, and finds songs that are in my range to help build strength in my voice. I now attend her classes weekly and am thoroughly enjoying them.

Katie really believes in my singing voice and has been filling with me confidence and support. Not only that but she is an incredible teacher and has been patient with teaching me the art of singing. She is soulful and very professional. Not to mention she has an amazing voice. I would recommend anyone that is a new comer to the art, or wants to brush up on their existing skills to get in contact with her.

Katie is truly amazing. I have been working professionally with Katie all over the world and have learned so much from her about singing. She is one of the most intuitive musicians I have ever met and a delight to learn from, and trust me, she has plenty of amazing stuff to teach not only about singing but performance in general. You may not be aware that Katie produced the world's first interactive online singing course which has been number #1 in the world on iTunes for a long time. It's really quite extraordinary that she is available, albeit on a limited basis, for private singing lessons. You simply cannot do better.

From the very first day I came in for singing lessons you made me feel so comfortable, and at ease, you have helped me to find my true voice, and was so encouraging and non judgemental. My voice has improved so much in such a short time, with the vocal exercises you provided, your constant guidance, correcting me where necessary, encouraging me to practice and improve each week. I especially love singing along whilst you’re playing guitar. Thank you for your patience with me and for being such a great teacher.

Katie really helps me to explore my voice. She is a great teacher because she takes the time to find out what you want to sing, and she is familiar with an incredibly wide variety of music. I never thought I could sing before but now I feel a new part of me has been unlocked, and I always leave her lessons walking on air!

Katie Slaney is an incredible teacher, she listened to what I wanted from my voice and helped me learn and actively achieve my goals. I had improved more in 4 months with Katie than I did in 3 years with my last teacher. This is my third year with Katie and I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere anytime soon.

Katie is exactly what you want a teacher to be - calm, knowledgeable and supportive - but she cares about you, and what you're wanting to achieve too. I'd recommend her singing lessons to anyone.

I wanted to sing at my wedding. I was pretty keen, but my brother told me I’d embarrass myself. Kate helped me work out what songs I could really sing and which ones I was just kidding myself about. I’n a big fan of the way she starts with the songs you want to sing and shows you why you are good at some but not so good at others.

She helped me choose the right song and showed me how to nail it. The wedding was awesome and everyone was singing with me. It was pretty awesome

Kate creates a great, relaxed environment for students to explore their voice, in a collaborative way. Kate really cares about students finding an authentic voice to express themselves with and supports students throughout their journey.
