After selling earlier this year, and spending many weekends going through open homes, we found that Karen knew exactly what we were looking for. She did extensive research to evaluate and understand the local market and was able to ascertain realistic estimates of property values in our area. Each week we would receive a report of houses that she had inspected, with recommendations whether or not to pursue them.
She was also my voice of reason and logic, guiding our family towards the right property, whilst keeping in mind our budget.
On Auction Day Karen was not to be messed with! She stood her ground against 3 other bidders.

I engaged Karen to assist my parents in downsizing from their family home of almost 55 years. Karen was very patient and understanding, especially when the brief changed many times during the search. She understood this was a very emotional experience for my parents.

She provided comprehensive information when she presented a property for consideration, not only including its features, quoted price and her estimate based on recent sales in the area, but also how it fit the brief. She was also able to provide access to off-market properties that we would not have been able to see on our own. As real estate rules were altered during the Covid-19 lockdowns to only allow private inspections, Karen ensured we were able to safely inspect properties that were of interest to us.

The “sell first vs buy first” dilemma was also discussed many times during the search. Karen presented both sides of the argument in a straightforward and logical manner. Although my parents changed their mind about this many times also, Karen never lost sight of the goal of finding a new home. When they decided to sell their home first, Karen aided in choosing a real estate agent to sell the property and liaised with him to ensure a good price was obtained and settlement conditions were suitable for my parents.

Karen’s involvement did not end when the contract for the new home was signed. She also booked and attended the pre-settlement inspection, ensured identified issues were fixed and liaised with the solicitor regarding settlement.

My whole family is very grateful to Karen for her extensive knowledge, patience and guidance in helping my parents find their new home.
